An movie is not effective if it will not leave you moved or disturbed even after the film. This is what I have felt (and until now) with STOKER, starring Mia Wasikowska, Matthew Goode, and Nicole Kidman.Not like the usual thriller movies which focuses more on the killing blood and gore, it disturbs one to the core with the mystery and imagery shown in the film. As a grieving family Stoker is joined by a mysterious uncle Charlie (Goode), things gets more clearer and complicated at the same time.
It does not also keep the cryptic clues to deep for viewers to know what is going on, but it leaves the audience in a stalemate on what will happen with all of the story and the characters, how they would react, or what will happen eventually.
