REVIEW: Hello Stranger The Movie

Fresh from the success of the first season of this well received BL Series, Hello Stranger The Movie wants to continue the momentum of the series into a full-length movie to be streamed via KTX. Hello Stranger stars Tony Labrusca (Xavier) and JC Alcantara (Mico), the first season has 8 episodes and due to the reception of the public, the need for a new season or a movie.

Hello Stranger The Movie is different from the series as it is not just an online meeting but rather a complete movie that takes place outdoors. Production did follow health and safety protocols to have a more intimate and personal interaction between the characters.

The story continues after the events of the first season. Personally I’ve not seen the series but the premise shows that they went back to square one which they did not end up being a couple. They meet again in beach camp together with their friends. The unexpected meeting stirs up feelings, awkwardness, and mixed experiences between the two.

“Hello, Love, Goodbye”: Finding love, pursuing a career, and life happening in between

The characters of Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards faces a dilemma that will either make or break the life they have long planned in the upcoming Star Cinema film, “Hello, Love, Goodbye”

Love and career are two of the important things that most people consider in making major decisions in their lives. Most generations were asked which they prioritize and often their answers vary—but what does the younger generation get to say about this topic?
TFC asked two young overseas Filipinos to answer the question “what will you choose, love or career? Why?”

Snooky, 27, from Japan, chose career. She explains: “Love can come anytime, while you have to build your career from scratch until you reap what you sow. Also, frankly speaking, nowadays there is a bigger chance to find an ideal partner once you are financially stable. It makes me feel happier and satisfied to attain my personal goals in life first before settling down.”

Memories lead to regrets in the film "Alone/Together"

The regrets of the past will haunt the present in the film that stars Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano, under the direction of Antoinette Jadaone, screening worldwide via TFC at the Movies

People do not always make the right decisions in their lives, and often this leads to life’s “what ifs” or simply called regret.

In one of Eric Jackson’s articles published in Forbes online, he has written about “The 25 Biggest Regrets in Life. What are Yours?” and fifth on his list is “breaking up with my true love/getting dumped by them”. Jackson said that “romance is a big area of regret for most of us…It is tough to simply be happy with the love that you've found and takes away from the special moments you have today, if you're constantly thinking back to what you once had.”

It is no surprise that the thrid party market is back in screens and it takes on the challenge to be better than the previous films with the same theme. This time, the combination of Erich Gonzales, Lovi Poe, and Tom Rodriguez are tested for their chemistry with The Significant Other.

With some controversy with its filming, it actually made buzz for the movie. Lovi here is more daring and alluring, Erich was surprisingly sensual and Tom goes beyond his charm and leveled up his drama skills. The love dilemma in this film makes it relatable and entertaining. Drama was spot on, witty lines were impressively savage, and there was sexiness all throughout.

They tend to veer away from the cliches and banked on what is the usual marriage problem which leads to infidelity. Although there are still elements that people still find similar to similar-themed films, they made sure that the entertainment value is kept at its peak whether it may be comedy, drama, an love scenes.
