Teleperformance Philippines shares insights on the value of Human Resource Business Partners

Teleperformance Philippines Vice President for Human Resources and Communication & Marketing Rachel Cacabelos recently shared her insights on human resource business partners and to empower HR practitioners to go beyond the traditional HR role.

Human resources (HR) has long been perceived as the department dealing with employee matters from hiring and retirement to disciplinary actions. However, the role of HR has evolved through the years and their role in an organization can be more involved than ever.

In the recent 677th General Members Meeting of the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP), Cacabelos served as a panelist and defined the HR business partner role and discussed the value they can bring to an organization

Sa Toyota, may financing ang MSMEs!

Based on Q4 2020 statistics from the United Nations Development Programme, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) have made up 99.5% of the Philippines’ business establishments, employed 63% of the country’s workforce, and contributed to 40% of the country’s GDP in the past years. In 2020, this number declined due to community lockdowns.

Today, as the economy is steadily opening up, MSMEs are now getting back on track. One important factor they need is access to finance. Financing is essential to the growth of MSMEs, as it can help them to resume operations and re-enter the market.

With the vision of bringing mobility for all and the goal of enabling local businesses to contribute to economic recovery, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is committed to being the partner of every MSME. The country’s leading mobility company is empowering livelihoods by extending financial assistance through its financing partner, Toyota Financial Services Philippines (TFSPH); and including its Light Commercial Vehicle line, the all-new Lite Ace in TFSPH’s Kabuhayan on Wheels Financing program.

LOIR addresses own personal struggles in new single “MAMA”

The R&B singer-songwriter delivers a stripped-down ballad with an emotional pull

R&B singer-songwriter LOIR submits to the pull of her heart in her new single “MAMA,” released under Sony Music Entertainment.

On the stripped-down ballad, the talented newcomer asks big questions about life’s purpose and her conflicting sense of direction. But while doing the things that she loves the most comes with existential baggage, LOIR recognizes the need to work on herself and apologize for her misgivings.

“I’ve made some decisions in the past that I’m not happy about,” says the budding young artist. “This song is my way of closing that chapter in life, and hoping that I’ve made my parents proud as I welcome change with positivity, dreams, and love. I’m more than inspired to do well in my chosen craft.”

P-Pop girl group KAIA pivot towards a more R&B-driven sound in new single “Dalawa”

The subdued, laid-back track explores unrequited romance with reassuring sweetness

P-Pop girl group KAIA explores a more R&B-leaning direction in their new single “Dalawa,” released under Sony Music Entertainment.

Standing out in sublime contrast with their previous releases, the five-member act’s smooth jam alludes to the idea of expressing infatuation in the most reassuring, youthful way.

“Dalawa is a song that tells a story familiar to many: catching unrequited feelings for someone close to you,” describes the eclectic pop quintet. “While it veers away from the upbeat, dance-pop tunes that we’ve been dishing out since our debut, this particular material sticks to our strengths as a girl group.”
