A worldwide search was on for the actor who will take on the mantle of Karate Kid for Karate Kid: Legends, and producer Karen Rosenfelt felt that Ben Wang was the perfect fit for the role. “It’s always like threading a needle when you're looking for the center of a film,” she says. “I couldn't be happier with Ben. The legends are back. Ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan team up for “Karate Kid: Legends” Arriving in PH cinemas on May 28

It’s only a matter of time that legends Ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan come together for the ultimate martial arts film, and time has finally come in Karate Kid: Legends. “Bringing these two legends together is beyond a producer's dream,” says producer Karen Rosenfelt. “What’s fresh and unique about this movie is that both Mr. Han and Daniel LaRusso are training a Chinese, Mandarin-speaking boy. It's a story about family and recovering what's important. And it works as a standalone if you have never seen a Karate Kid film, and it’s also a love letter to those who were there for The Karate Kid in 1984.”

REEL DEAL: The LEGO Ninjago Movie

This is actually the second LEGO movie for the year where in we had the LEGO Batman Movie early this year. Like the LEGO movies, it aims to be comedic and creative as possible. The LEGO Ninjago Movie is derived from the toy series of the same title which is also called "Masters of Spinjustu".

Playful in nature, yet the film has a different feel compared with the first LEGO movies. The Ninja team is composed of  Nya, Zane, Jay, Cole, Kai, and Lloyd who are sworn to protect the city of Ninjago, The team are expert martial artists, bad-ass mech pilots, and also attends school when the city is not on the brink of destruction.

Jackie Chan also joins the movie providing martial arts expertise with his team along with the animators. He also voices Master Wu, who is the mentor of the Ninja team. Justin Theroux is Garmadon the main villain and the father of Lloyd, the green ninja.

If you watched the TV animated series, you will enjoy this one as it is filled with humor, nostalgia and fast-paced action. I really liked the Ninja Mechas which are in my wishlist for Christmas. Thus, the movie is great marketing tool as well.

REEL DEAL: Kung Fu Panda 3 REVIEW

It has been a powerful and entertaining franchise which was inspired from the eastern martial arts, now also an entertainment success, Kung Fu Panda hits harder now on its 3rd movie. The movie now expands to his roots and even the heritage from the secret Panda village.

The Dragon Warrior Panda Po faces a new foe that goes beyond dimensions. With the furious five and Master Shifu still has a lot to learn, the quest for peace and justice goes into another level. A new villain emerges from the spirit realm and takes on the best masters in China, the only hope lies again with Po.

The third film looks fun and awesome with the Pandas and all but it pars equally with the last film which was also quite heavy with the dark past. This time they incorporated it with the spirit realm which is a new place with new powers, and a great expansion for future sequels.

“KUNG FU PANDA 3” Marks Biggest Adventure Comedy In Blockbuster Franchise

One of the most successful animated franchises in the world returns with its biggest comedy adventure yet, “Kung Fu Panda 3.” When Po's long-lost panda father suddenly reappears, the reunited duo travels to a secret panda paradise to meet scores of hilarious new panda characters.  But when the supernatural villain Kai begins to sweep across China defeating all the kung fu masters, Po must do the impossible—learn to train a village full of his fun-loving, clumsy brethren to become the ultimate band of Kung Fu Pandas!

The film marks the return of the plump black-and-white bear who has only one aspiration – to become an expert in a martial art that requires agility, mental prowess and lightning-fast reflexes.  It was a formidable, if not impossible quest.  But then Po doesn’t know the word “impossible.”  He’s always striving to be the best he can be…to be his own hero.

Kung Fu Panda 3 Trailer Reveal

In DreamWorks Animation’s “Kung Fu Panda 3” first trailer, Po and the gang is back with three times the force and adventure! Po (voiced by Jack Black) is now considered as the legendary Dragon Warrior who has already saved the world a few times but has remained a humble panda despite wide and wild adulation.

REEL DEAL: “KUNG FU PANDA 3” First Look Photos

In 2016, one of the most successful animated franchises in the world returns with its biggest comedy adventure yet, “Kung Fu Panda 3.” When Po's long-lost panda father suddenly reappears, the reunited duo travels to a secret panda paradise to meet scores of hilarious new panda characters.  But when the supernatural villain Kai begins to sweep across China defeating all the kung fu masters, Po must do the impossible—learn to train a village full of his fun-loving, clumsy brethren to become the ultimate band of Kung Fu Pandas!

REEL DEAL: Police Story 2013

Jackie Chan said that Chinese Zodiac would have been his last film in his career, but alas there there is another action movie that stars Jackie as its lead and also a producer. Police Story 2013 is another reincarnation of the movie series which launch his career back in the day.

Here, Jackie Chan is Detective Zhong, a police officer which he stated that despite doing a lot of police role this will be the first doing a mainland-based officer. He is searching for his daughter Miao Miao who has a club owner boyfriend. But things get complicated as it turns to be a trap to all those involved with a incident years back.

Though with a more darker, serious approach, it is still an action-filled, thriller that still keeps the elements that we all love from Jackie Chan. I don't care if this is truly the last movie he will be in. Because it has been his life and passion, he would still have that want to make and participate in the movies he will be doing. And as we all know that Jackie is never forever young, but with his moves  in this movie, you would think, he still got it and tried something new.
