Broadcast industry leader GMA Network, Inc. (GMA) reported impressive year-on-year growth in both revenues and profits for the first quarter of 2013 supported by its improved performance across key financial indicators.

PNoy signs K to 12 into law

MALACANANG - President Benigno S. Aquino III signed today the K to 12 law, a landmark piece of legislation that institutionalizes 12 years of basic education, making it responsive to global educational standards. The law – which introduces two additional years in secondary education and makes Kindergarten mandatory among 5-year olds – is expected to give graduates better choices in the field of work or further education.

Sarah Jessica Parker Has Arrived in Manila!

Sarah Jessica Parker arrived in Manila at exactly 6:45pm last night. She was a surprisingly simple and down-to-earth, she even lined up at immigration herself! 

She as quickly whisked away and slipped into her limo but as soon as she got to the hotel, she took time to saying Hi to everyone and even stopped to admire the musicians playing at the hotel. As soon as the quartet was done with their rendition of "New York, New York", she applauded the quartet and exclaimed "Wonderful". 

"She is one of the sweetest and most wonderful Hollywood celebrities in the world! She was really friendly and sincere." , says the SM Store's Senior Manager for Digital Marketing, Jason Alvarez.

Sarah Jessica Parker is in the country for the blessing of The SM Store Aura on May 16.

MUSIC LYF: Zendee - I Believe (Album)

From being a random girl at the mall to a internet sensation Zendee has now proven to be a worty artist to have her very own album. If you could remember that moment she was filed while singing at videoke set up in an music store and belting out notes caught the attention of millions and eventually brought her  fame and the chance to perform live on Ellen.

Warner Music Philippines recognizes her talent and responded to the clamor of fans to have her own album. She launched her new album "I Believe" on April 30 (My Birthday) and also performed some songs for the media to know her more.

She hails from General Santos City and now making rounds here in the metro for guestings, performances and gigs for her album launch. We will review her CD soon in Listening Room. She may be a new comer in the industry but have already made an impression on the web and on American TV. 

She may be not a Random Girl anymore and this will also mean the start of a career that she is willing to persue as much as she loves singing.
