Ariel Experts vs 100

The Ariel Experts vs. 100 Challenge proves that even experts can get confused between what’s new and what’s old when it’s washed with Ariel.

The exciting challenge pitted clothing experts Metropole Laundry and Dry Cleaners, Inc. and Bench against 100 guests in answering questions on fashion, laundry and in trying to identify the difference between a new shirt and an old one stained and washed 10 times with Ariel.
Even the two clothing experts had a hard time figuring it out because Ariel Oxybleach has a unique oxybleach system that removes tough stains so well (even without scrubbing with a bar and brush!) that it can give clothes the care it needs to keep looking like new.
“With Ariel, our focus has always been to provide the latest detergent technology to moms to give them the perfect clean that they’ve always wanted,” said Ariel Country Marketing Manager, Danish Rahman.

Its time Barangay PILIPINAS, VOTE!

May bilog may bilog na hugis itlog...

It was just a few month after the first automated elections in the country, and now we have this for the local Barangay but unlike the promising system we went back to the manual counting since its on the smaller scale.  But what happened? There were a past problems that surfaced on this year's Barangay and Sanguniang Kabataan's election. Aside from the manual count of ballots. There are also series of violence and mass (and obvious) vote buying at this level! This does stink to think that there salary is not that extravagant to spend a lot of money and effort to hold position.
I did ask some people on what they think of the Sanguniang Kabataan, if they are worth keeping or not. And unanimously, all of them agreed to remove them from the structure since they dont provide sufficient and long term benefit to the youth of the Barangay. If ever they would it would be really really rare. My cousin ran and won as SK chairwoman and now my niece is…

FUNKY Bowling at SM!

Its my first time to bowl...  what happened? read on...
Bowling has been a very old sport which dates back to the times of kings and queens. And as time passes, bowling rules did not change that much but only the type of competition and scoring. You can just roll the ball into ten pins and knock them off, seems easy to some, yet a challenge for many. But there is only a standard in bowling that is to roll the ball into the paved aisle and thats it. It might have grew to be a boring sport because the mechanics were too simple. Now comes the juicy part... Now to put a whole new twist to the rolling and bowling game is what thy call FUNKY BOWLING. This style changes and challenges the players, both professionals and amateurs, to get that strike. Have you tried to bowl between your knees? How about bowling while kneeling? being blindfolded? Or even with your feet?  We got to experience this type of game at SM Bowling center at the Mall of Asia. It was definitely a night to remember with the…

Inspired by actual events, “Unstoppable” is an adrenaline rush fueled by director Tony Scott’s signature mark of propulsive action rooted in the reality of ordinary people placed in extraordinary circumstances. A veteran train engineer (Denzel Washington) and a young conductor (Chris Pine) race the clock to stop an unmanned runaway train – effectively a missile the size of a skyscraper -- and prevent disaster in a heavily populated area.
As Frank and Will face imminent danger, their one solace is the voice of Yardmaster Connie Hooper (Rosario Dawson) over the radio. Stationed back at Mingo Yard, where the runaway locomotive began as a simple coaster, Connie is a voice of reason and direction throughout the chaos. “Connie represents a different face of the railroad,” says screenwriter Bomback. “She is someone who could eventually become part of the executive ranks because she’s extremely capable and used railroading as an opportunity to take control of her fate.” “Connie is a stron…

REEL DEAL: The Social Network

What goes on in the mind of the youngest billionaire in the world? Cause I wanna be a billionaire so freakin' bad! Facebook as the biggest social network in the world had made its mark in history for it revolutionize the new age internet. Now, the most interesting thing is its founders and co-founders. The bright minds that came from Harvard University, not even in their 30's made a revolution that swept the world.
Although it is not a biography of the acclaimed billionaire, it does shows the start of the multi-billion dollar internet site from college houses that host only a few people. The real test here is friendship that has been shattered by ambitions and most of all money. Kinda ironic that the site promotes good will and friendship is what you will see is the opposite.
Pretty interesting things were actually facts (you can just search that if they are true), and even if you don't have the mind of Zuckerberg. You will 'like' this and know that its not always t…

Mentos Fresh Burst Geyser Event!

I love Mentos, I also love Coke. What happens if you mix them together? That is why I am trying to prove when I went to the mentos and coke event for the most number of soda geysers. The last record was held by Mexico last June and now, it the Pinoys turn to take a shot at this unquie but fun activity.

The event also hails participants from different schools like UP, UST, RTU, JRU, PUP, Adamson and friends and employees of the company. There were also the public who joined in to participate in the festivities. The participants were also given loot bags containing mentos products and also a booth for coke zero giving out free cans for the people to enjoy.

Originally I passed the Mall of Asia to be just a spectator, but since they opened up their participation to the public. I got to join in and be part of this historical moment. The participants wore shirts and raincoats to protect them from the rain of cola which will be propelled by the mentos in specially shaped tubes.   There were al…

Blog Action Day YO H20! (Blah blah bogs special edition)

special edition
Yeah, as a living person, you should, I mean you must already know the importance of water for yo and to the whole world. Without it, we all die, as in all living creatures. Its the main component that helped us to evolve. It shaped the great continents and formed nations. Its the reason why we have rain, snow, haze, fog and even storms. It nurtured the plants and animals that we humans change into our own food, going into many processes and finally to you.
Now even with our wastes, water also takes care of that. From cleaning our bodies to help decompose organic materials and using them as a nutrient for plants and animals, the endless cycle is what brought us here to this time. Now, the bad thing is, as humans progress, we also neglect the value of water. In poor and undeveloped nations and remote areas, water is scarce and even expensive. Many people die due to dehydration and other water related incidents than war. So it had also been an endless battle for us t…

The Galleon Trade is here in Manila!

The Philippines, the First ASEAN Culture Capital 2010–2011, will host the International Día del Galeón Festival 2010: Connecting Continents. With a 250-year history that connected four continents, the Galleon Trade was an essential trade route that served as a vessel for cultural exchange.
The trade involved 250-year-old ships called galleons, which were built by expert Filipino seafarers out of Philippine hardwood.
"The whole world knows about the Silk Route, the Amber Road, but what about the Galleon Trade? For more than 250 years, the Philippines was the center of the world, with Asian, European and Latin American goods being traded on its very soil," the NCCA said. It added, "Via the galleon, Mexican chocolate was brought to Asia, Spanish music was brought to the Philippines, and the world was introduced to Philippine abaca and flowers like the ylang-ylang."

A galleon named Andalucia is said to be the first vessel to have successfully gone around the world…

REEL DEAL: Resident Evil After Life

It was my first time to see the Resident Evil series in a movie house, because I always watch it in HBO or other movie channels (of course cuts are already applied) And I was anticipating a different kind of experience with this one as it said to follow the original plot from the game. Also for this version, it also incorporates the newest 3D technology for cinemas (however, the one I watched was not in 3D... too bad)

As I could see it, this one is kinda weak in terms of the plot. Not that I have known the origibnal story, but the other elements are so predictable and was too focused  more in the effects. Also a heartbreaking fact is there are a lot of scenes that one may notice to be too immprobable in reality and physics. The effect however was good and did justify the ambiance of a world filled with zombies.

It seems like a simple family movie plus a lot of bloody violence. Prepare your heart though, since it suspense at is was originally created. I'm currently confused if this m…
