GMA Comedy Stars On The Rise This 2016!

Comedy is probably GMA's best asset in terms of their actors who are not only inclined with doing drama but also have a gift in making their viewers laugh. And before the second half of the year started, they launched new show that showcases their comedy talents as well as new shows that presents a whole new concept of fun and laughter.

We were able to sit down with the Kapuso stars Nar Cabico, Mark Herras, and Betong. They belong to two new shows namely Laff Camera Action and Conan My Beautician.  Also they have another comedy show called A1 Ko Sa Yo which stars Jackyln Jose, Gardo Versoza, Solenn Huessaff and Sef Cadayona.

Laff Camera Action

Betong who was not only a winner in survivor but also became a regular at GMA comedy shows shares his role on the improv inspired show that airs every Saturdays and features a number of comedians who will battle to give their best improvisation. This on-the-spot situational comedy brings out the creativity of teams to come up with witty lines and actions that will determine the winner.

It is indeed not simple but when they got the right balance and timing, it can be comedy gold. Betong shares that the challenge pushes them to improve in their craft. He is also joined by his co-hosts Sheena Halili and Arianne Bautista.

Conan My Beautician

Mark Herras is not a newbie in comedies but he is faced with a "fabulousl" task of playing a man who is forced to be a gay beautician to escape his obsessed lover. The show is indeed filled with colorful gay characters that provides a truckload of comedy when they show up in their flamboyant costumes and personalities.

Mark is joined by Jerald Napoles as Greg, Betong Sumaya as Mimi, Boobsie as Dubbie, Tetay as Pia, Balang as Conor, Chlaui Malayao as Debbie, Jay Manalo as Conrado, and Cacai Bautista as Chika la Chaka. 

Conan My Beautician airs every Sunday 5PM on GMA.

Nar Cabico is known as a performer and a theater actor, his biggest break into TV is with GMA with his role in Beautiful Strangers. His specialty in comedy made him an asset for the Kapuso Network. He reveals that he will have a show soon which he could not disclose the details yet. It would be linked to one of the Primetime shows.

It is really fun to have more comedians and comedy shows especially in today's current events which are filled with controversies and negativity. We do need a ray of laughter and they are here to bring that to us!
