REEL DEAL: From Phenomenal Online Game "DRAGON NEST: WARRIOR'S DAWN" Movie Opens March 18

Produced by giant game prime movers Shanda Games and Eyedentity Games along with Chinese animation studio Mili Pictures,  “Dragon Nest: Warrior’s Dawn” is finally set for theatrical release in local (Phils.) cinemas starting this March 18.

“Dragon Nest: Warrior’s Dawn” is Mili’s debut production and is directed by Song Yuefeng, an award winning animation director.  Fans of the MMORPG which has more than 100 million registered users will finally see the land of Altera and its inhabitants spring to life in cinemas. In the movie, the power of the evil Black Dragon has swept the land of Altera and all have suffered since then that triggered a sense of chaos.

Of its inhabitants is Lambert, an ordinary village boy who has seen first hand the murder of his parents and the destruction of his hometown. Growing up an orphan, he swore to learn the skills on how to be a good fighter to save Altera from the evil that imprisons it. 

Along with Lambert are friends, fiends and creatures that he meets along his journey to become the unlikely hero of Altera.

"Dragon Nest," the MMO-based game the world loves to play releases its music video for its movie-adapted release entitled "Dragon Nest: Warrior's Dawn."

The music video entitled "Gem of Love" performed by Keely Hawkes, introduces us to a group of warriors, young and legendary alike trying to save their kingdom from an impending doom that is bent to annihilate all living creatures. The video pans too on the mostly humorous, sometimes romantic encounters between Lambert and Liya - both young warriors in training who met at a time when their kingdom need them most.

"Dragon Nest: Warrrior's Dawn" is from Shanda Games in collaboration with Mili Pictures who is also produced by Bill Borden, known for his works in blockbuster movies such as "Mission Impossible 3," "Kungfu," "Meet the Robinsons" and "Kung-Fu Hustle." Additionally, he also produced the successful "High School Musical" series. The film is directed by Song Yuefeng.

“Dragon Nest: Warrior’s Dawn” is an upcoming  Chinese-American animated adventure fantasy romance film directed by Song Yuefeng and based on the Dragon Nest video game.  At the center of the movie is a young warrior named Lambert.  His family and home town was destroyed by the Black Dragon when he was younger. He set out to seek revenge and vowed to slay the Black Dragon. 

A sword yielding warrior and unlikely hero, Lambert eventually becomes a student of Barnac, one of the 6 legendary hero who took notice of his skills and talents in warfare.   The movie brings us to the land of Altera that has observed an uneasy peace for years among Humans, Elves and Evil beasts who are loyal to the legendary Black Dragon. But the Black Dragon begins to stir from its hibernation, sending the Beasts marching across Altera. With a beast conquest perilously close, a small group of Humans and Elves unite to try to find a secret hidden road to the Black Dragon's cave and destroy it. But the fate of all of them may be in the hands of the young warrior Lambert, who must summon the confidence and skill to face the Black Dragon himself just when all may be lost.

World's Videogame Phenomenon Dragon Nest Now A Movie

The global videogame phenomenon “Dragon Nest” comes to the big screen with its first of a trilogy – “Dragon Nest: Warrior’s Dawn” where an unlikely human hero is centric in uniting a divided enchanted land to fight against the evil force that seeks to destroy all humans and elves.

Directed by Yuefeng Song, the movie covers the events that took place during the Black Dragon Raid when a Black Dragon appeared in the once peaceful land enchanted land of Altea. With the Black Dragon’s attack, the King ordered then the young warriors Geraint, Argenta, Velskud and other legendary heroes to form the Dragon Slaying Alliance. The incident years after was widely known to be the First Dragon Invasion for the younger generations. We now find Lambert, a young restless wannabe warrior who lost his homeland and family when he was young, causing him to have the dream of vanquishing the Black Dragon. His limited but impressive fighting skills caught the attention of Barnac, the legendary mercenary who trains Lambert to use his fighting skills wisely and opportunely.

Produced by giant game prime mover Shanda Games, Eyedentity Games and Mili Pictures, “Dragon Nest: Warrior’s Dawn” will open very soon in cinemas nationwide to be distributed by Axinite Digicinema in the Philippines.
