Third "Fantastic Beasts" to Open in November 2021

Warner Bros. Pictures has announced the release date for the third “Fantastic Beasts” film—inviting audiences to return to the cinematic Wizarding World on November 12, 2021.  The release date marks the opening of the next installment of one of the Studio’s key properties.  The announcement was made today by Ron Sanders, President, Worldwide Theatrical Distribution and Home Entertainment.

Two years ago, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” transported audiences back to the wizarding world that has captured their hearts and ignited their imaginations.  

Set in America in the mid-1920s, the film enticed fans with just a few fleeting allusions to the Harry Potter stories: a brief mention that Magizoologist Newt Scamander was kicked out of Hogwarts; that his only defender had been a certain Professor Albus Dumbledore; and the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald, after wreaking havoc in Europe, had vanished. 

A Thrilling New Adventure in J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World is Underway

Principal photography starts today, Monday, July 3, on an all new adventure set in J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World, the second of five films in the series that began with “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.” The as-yet-untitled film is being directed by David Yates.

Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne (“The Theory of Everything”) stars once more as wizarding world magizoologist Newt Scamander; alongside Katherine Waterston as Auror Tina Goldstein; Alison Sudol as her sister, Queenie Goldstein; and Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski, the only No-Maj in the foursome.

Warner Bros. Pictures has just launched the IMAX poster for its new fantasy adventure “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.” The film opens in IMAX theaters and regular cinemas across the Philippines on Thursday, Nov. 17th.

And the powerful, dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald, after wreaking havoc in Europe, has slipped away…and is now nowhere to be found.

New Original Writing By J.K. Rowling Sets Up "Fantastic Beasts"‏

Leading up to the November 18th release of Warner Bros. Pictures’ highly anticipated feature “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” J.K. Rowling has crafted a collection of new original writing entitled Magic in North America, to introduce audiences to a new place and time in the wizarding world that she has created.

The first installment, “History of Magic in North America,” was introduced today with the global launch of a 100-second specially produced video that serves as a prologue to the new original writing by J.K. Rowling. The video may be viewed at https://youtu.be/un348OTIs0Y.

Where to Find "Fantastic Beasts" High-Res Images‏

Following last week's first look at “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” – the start of a new trilogy of Harry Potter spinoffs centering on Eddie Redmayne’s magizoologist Newt Scamander – Warner Bros. Has released a trio of high-res photos, giving us a more detailed look at some of the images that debuted earlier.

The photos feature Redmayne’s Newt Scamander, and witchy sisters Porpentina and Queenie Goldstein, played by Katherine Waterston and Alison Sudol respectively.

REEL DEAL: Eddie Redmayne Enters the Wizarding World in "Fantastic Beasts"‏

Academy Award-winning actor Eddie Redmayne has been cast as Newt Scamander in Warner Bros. Pictures’ much-anticipated wizarding world adventure “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.” The announcement was made today by Greg Silverman, President of Creative Development and Worldwide Production, Warner Bros. Pictures.

Redmayne will play J.K. Rowling’s creation Newt Scamander, the Wizarding World’s preeminent magizoologist, who in his travels has encountered and documented a myriad of magical creatures, ultimately leading to his penning the Hogwarts School textbook Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

In making the announcement, Silverman said, “Eddie Redmayne has emerged as one of today’s most extraordinarily talented and acclaimed actors. We are thrilled to welcome him into J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World, where we know he will deliver a remarkable performance as Newt Scamander, the central character in ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.’”
