Leah Halili teams up with The Ransom Collective girls on breezy pop track “Clear To Me”

Filipina singer-songwriter Leah Halili teams up with her fellow The Ransom Collective bandmates Lily and Muriel Gonzales on “Clear To Me,” a dreamy pop tune inspired by her relationship with now-husband, Nikee Banares.

Produced by Carlos Castano, Halili’s new single captures the feeling of romantic affection and how it blooms into something more divine over time. Buoyed by breezy chords and delicate melodies, “Clear To Me” is a beguiling piece of work that was written from the four corners of her bedroom—about the same time her debut single “Fourth of July” was made.

Leah Halili Shares Romantic Journey On Debut Single "Fourth Of July"

The Ransom Collective’s Leah Halili has taken her sound to warmer, more intimate places with the release of her debut single “Fourth of July”—out today on all digital music platforms worldwide.

A lovingly crafted, indie-folk tune that offers moments of pure bliss, the song tackles a romantic journey between two people who met and found instant connection. “I was inspired by life stories, and my personal story as well,” Halili shares. “Fourth of July is more than just a love song; it’s an ode to the immediate but unexpected thrill, the magic that only music can legibly explain.”

The song was written by Leah Halili herself, and produced by acclaimed singer-songwriter Carlos Castaño, who added remarkable layers to the arrangement. The collaboration resulted in a spare, but intricately beautiful piece that conveys Halili’s most compelling sense of artistic identity yet, which one could compare to the likes of Laura Marling and Lucy Rose.

Brimming with delicate arrangements and lush vocals, “Fourth of July” is her first official release outside of The Ransom Collective, which she is still a part of.

According to Halili, the song is about “that warm, fuzzy feeling that you get after meeting the person you like. These moments evoke the joy and happiness this special day brings to a lot of people on the other side of the world.”

Following the official announcement through a teaser video, Leah Halili has been giving a sneak peek into the behind-the-scenes details of her upcoming solo release, which includes home studio sessions and recording previews of her new track.
