In a survey released by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) last 2022, it was revealed that there are over 5.6 million Filipino families living in poverty. This means that two out of five Filipinos belong in underprivileged communities. Unemployment, underemployment, and lack of opportunities are just some of the factors that can contribute to this statistic.
