At first glance, triathlon looks intimidating but, who wouldn’t when you have to bike, swim, and run all in one event?  Some triathletes even consider the sport as an ultimate endurance challenge, requiring not only the gear but also strenuous training.

The multi-discipline sport, however, didn’t seem to faze Sheilla Gagui, Louie Sangalang, Philip Le Roux, and Mervin Santiago, members the Santé Barley Tri-Team, who are conquering the grueling world of it.

New Short Course Triathlon to Launch in June at the Inaugural Challenge Camsur!

Leverage Sports Asia, Challenge Brand race license holders in the Philippines, will launch a new short course triathlon—the Tri-Challenge Series—at the inaugural Yellow Cab Challenge CamSur half-distance triathlon this coming June.

Celebrities brace for a ‘tougher’ YellowCab Challenge Philippines Subic-Bataan

Aiming to top last year’s successful race, Yellow Cab Challenge Philippines Subic-Bataan will welcome triathletes from different parts of the world on February, including some of the country’s celebrity triathletes.

TV host and active triathlete Drew Arellano will be competing in the first leg of the Challenge race this year, which will consist of a 1.9km swim, 90km bike, and 21.1km run. GMA News Anchor Kara David, on the other hand, will be joining the Powerpops TriKings for run, while TGIS alumnus Onemig Bondoc will also participate in the run relay.

Former PBB housemate Paul Jake Castillo, TV commercial director and entrepreneur Sid Maderazo, and triathlon coach Miguel Antonio Lopez are also competing in the event that holds the largest prize purse in Asia. 

Challenge Philippines Goes To CamSur With Yellow Cab

Challenge Philippines is known to be one of the triathlon events that goes across the country which is also attended by both local and foreign athletes. The event had successsful legs in Subic Bay and Bataan earlier this year, and now they are preparing for the next one happening in the Bicol region at Camarines Sur.

The Challenge Philippines earlier this year showcased over 729 athletes from 38 countries. Triathletes from different walks of life, including two crown princes of Bahrain, competed in the inaugural race.
