Coming off The Girl on the Train and Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, Rebecca Ferguson now stars as a feisty scientist in Columbia Pictures' terrifying thriller, Life.

Also starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Reynolds, Life is about a team of scientists aboard the International Space Station whose mission of discovery turns to one of primal fear when they find a rapidly evolving life form that caused extinction on Mars, and now threatens the crew and all life on Earth.

The film is also about men and women under extreme pressure and facing an unknown, ever changing threat where there’s nowhere to run from it.

ABS-CBN bags 4th Best National TV Station award from Paragala Awards

Students from 31 universities in Central Luzon still named ABS-CBN as their TV network of choice, giving the country’s leading media and entertainment company its fourth Best National TV Station award at the Paragala Central Luzon Media Awards.

Composed of 31 participating schools in Region III, the Paragala Central Luzon Media Awards recognizes the best shows and media personalities in the country as voted by students in Central Luzon. This year, the 4th Paragala Awards gathered 30,000 votes from the participating schools.

Lisbeth Salander Returns to the Screen in Sony's "The Girl in the Spider's Web"

Lisbeth Salander, the cult figure and title character of the acclaimed Millennium book series created by Stieg Larsson, will return to the screen in The Girl in the Spider’s Web, a first-time adaptation of the recent global bestseller written by David Lagercrantz.

Fede Alvarez, the director of 2016’s breakout thriller Don’t Breathe, will helm the project from a screenplay by Steven Knight and Fede Alvarez & Jay Basu. Scott Rudin, Søren Stærmose, Ole Søndberg, Amy Pascal, Elizabeth Cantillon, Eli Bush, and Berna Levin will produce; the executive producers are Anni Faurbye Fernandez, Line Winther Skyum Funch, Johannes Jensen, and David Fincher.

Disney's “Beauty and the Beast” put a spell at the Philippine box-office, grossing an enchanted P47.2-M on its first day, March 16, and effectively breaking the record for the industry's biggest opening day for 2017. This was announced today by a spokesman of the Walt Disney Studios Philippines.

“Beauty and the Beast” is expected to dominate the coming weekend, as ticket sales are being driven by nostalgia for the original 1991 Disney animated classic, and the recent popularity of live-action fairy tales.

Dax Shepard Vows to Serve and Bro-Tect in "CHIPS"

Dax Shepard (The Judge, This is Where I Leave You) capably multi-tasks as actor, producer, writer and director of Warner Bros. Pictures' new adult action comedy CHIPS.

Shepard plays Jon Baker, the oldest rookie to ever join the California Highway Patrol, CHP for short. As his supervisor points out, Baker may not seem like an obvious candidate for the job—that is, until his fellow recruits see him ride.



Clearly, “The Baker” is still a force to content with on the road, but, says Shepard, “As an X-Games motocross competitor he had sponsors and fans; he had the money and the glory and the great life. That’s all over now. He’s had about 20 surgeries, broken a lot of bones, and he’s not in the best physical shape. He’s in a transition period.”

ABS-CBN Awards Shenzhen Police for Exemplary Police Work In the Raid and Arrest of Filstream Owners

ABS-CBN’s Head of Global Anti-Piracy, Elisha Lawrence, awarded the Xixiang Police Station of Shenzhen Public Security Bureau (PSB) for their heroic police work in raiding and arresting Alan Zhou, Roland Lu, Long Zhao and Yunmin Chen, four major players in the global piracy operation of the pirate streaming box Filstream.  

Police Officers Cui Yang and Yinbo Lin received awards in the presence of their superior, Deputy Chief Police Officer Zuo Yang.  Also present was Yunze Lian, Senior Partner and Head of Patent and Trademark Group of the Hylands Law Firm, who represented ABS-CBN and worked together with Ms. Lawrence and the Shenzhen Public Security Bureau to execute the investigation and raid.
