Marvel Studios’ “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” has blasted into cinemas nationwide, electrifying Filipino audiences with its emotional depth, bold visual style, and a stunning reintroduction of Marvel’s legendary superteam.

A Fantastic New Era

Long before the Avengers, there was the Fantastic Four. Bound by a cosmic accident, these scientists, explorers, and family members forged a legacy that remains as one of the most iconic stories in comic book history. “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” reintroduces them to a new era, set in a stylized alternate 1960s where the future arrived early and changed everything.

Director Matt Shakman shares, “We took the best of the 1960s and added our own spin. We didn’t want to miss the opportunity to celebrate the fact that this is an Earth you haven’t seen before.”

With original music by Oscar®-winning composer Michael Giacchino and a screenplay by Josh Friedman, Eric Pearson, and Jeff Kaplan & Ian Springer, “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” marks a new beginning for Marvel’s Phase Six. At its heart, it’s not just about facing Galactus—it’s about a family coming together when everything threatens to pull them apart.

Meet the First Family

The film features a powerful ensemble led by:

Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards / Mr. Fantastic

A brilliant inventor and natural leader, Reed’s greatest challenge may not be cosmic—but emotional. “I loved the metaphor of stretching yourself too thin,” says Pascal. “That’s who Reed is—he’s always chasing an idea, often at the cost of connection.”

Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm / Invisible Woman

Sue is the emotional anchor of the team. Kirby brings depth to a character often caught between her own identity and the needs of the people around her.

Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm / Human Torch

A reckless daredevil on the surface, Johnny is driven by a need to prove himself. Quinn lights up the screen with charisma, energy, and an unexpected heart.

Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm / The Thing

Ben’s transformation into The Thing is both tragic and heroic. Beneath the rocky exterior is a man wrestling with loss, friendship, and what it means to be seen.
