CCP Opens New School Year With Campus Invasion!

The new school year is here for Senior High School and College students of the Central Colleges of the Philippines (CCP) which opens with bang in partnership with KM 22 Advertising to bring Campus Invasion last July 12.

The concert was also a great time for students to feel school spirit with an opening activity that will jumpstart the semester. It was held at the CCP grounds with many brands also joining for free samples, games, and other activities. Students also enjoyed freebies from sponsors Oishi, Nice Day Coffee, Gluta Max and Power Potato which set-up booths during the concert.

Filipino Bloggers Hub: A Simple Acquaintance Party

In the cyber world where all bloggers are moving-in has become more challenging due to different trends that have been born from time to time in every click and tick of their finger on the mouse. As the blogger pursue their passion, they tend to produce more effective write-ups that are based on their experiences, observation and even with their own opinion.

Today, blogging becomes a good portal of advertisement and online promotion because it can give a huge impact and easy to access information upon clicking the publish button. In just one click, everything went to life as it was being shared and like by others instantly upon uploaded.
Given that bloggers exist every minute and seconds in every social-networking site as well as in the blogging flat form. While giving the readers and other people to have the latest updates as well as entertainment in their web sites or blog sites. But wait a minute; did all bloggers who read other sites blog knew the author personally or acquaintance? I think, not!

CCP Bobcats Are Back To Be 2012 NCC Champions!

#InsaneCheerleadingCCP

I'm proud to say that my school, Central Colleges of the Philippines, are back with a vengeance this year to reclaim the coveted National Cheerleading Championship Title. This 2012 the CCP Bobcats, considered as one of the best cheer squads in the Philippines and even in the world. These are proven by awards that the group has received throughout the years. Note that they have competed in international competitions like in Australia and Florida bringing the Philippine Flag and showed that we too can compete in this very rigorous "sport".

The competing schools also did very well as they are also the cream of the crop from their regions. The National Cheerleading Championship (NCC) may be on its 7th season but has already brought in the best squads in the land like University of the Cordilleras (UC Jaguars), University of Perpetual Help Dalta - Altas (Altas Perps Squad), and the Far Eastern University (FEU Tamaraws). The art of cheerleading is not that easy as I have seen the CCP Bobcats on the routines at schools that they would practice even at the wee hours of the night. Same goes with other schools who also traveled far to join the competition.

MARDI GRAS at the Central Colleges of the Philippines!

Last year, I blogged about the schools foundation day although I was quite busy knowing the activities, but since I became more involved with the school this year, we had meetings on how the foundation day will be celebrated and the theme is now MARDI GRAS as it falls near the great celebrations this February.

The Central Colleges of the Philippines will celebrate its 57th founding anniversary with a lot of activities like battle of the bands, school fair, and a lot of interesting booths! This is one big celebration that you should not miss! I will be posting the schedule of activities in a few days, so tell your friends to visit CCP and have a great party! CARNIVAL!

Remember the date February 10-12, 2011.

Happy Independence Day! Still Proud to be Brown!

Here is a unique way to show my love for the Philippines. Its a poem I wrote years ago, make sure you read of them to know the story. Happy Independence day!

Nais kong maging Hapon
Isang hapong ‘di marunong mag- Filipino
Hapon na hindi alam ang Pilipinas
Nihonjin sa puso at diwa

Babad sa teknolohiya ng Akihabara
Maging ninja, Maglaro ng Shougi
O magtsaa sa bundok Fuji
Isang aktibong deboto ng Shinto

Maglaro ng yelo sa Sapporo
Sumakay ng Shinkansen Araw-araw
Mabakasyon sa Naha sa tag-init
Maging samurai at mag-hara kiri

O di kaya ay gumawa ng manga
Anime, Hentai at Sentai
Magsulat ng Kanji
Katakana, at Hiragana

Magbilang ng Tenki, Gatsu at Jikan
Magbilang ng Yen at sen
Magbabad sa mga onsen
Manood ng No at Kabuki

Bumati ng Konichiwa
Magpaalam ng Sayoonara
Kumain ng Ramen at Takoyaki
Yakisoba at Shushi

Mamasyal sa Okinawa
Sa Lungsod ng Nagasaki at Nara
Magdrive ng Honda at Toyota
Sa mga lansangan ng Shibuya

Ngunit bakit kailangan kong maging hapon?

Pandesal, itlog at dyaryo
Sa dumadaan na puto at taho
At sa mga tao nagtratrabaho

Sawa na yata ako sa ating mga tanawin
Na bundok, dagat at buhangin
Sa mga bagyo na may kakatuwang pangngalan
At sa Lupang Hinirang na aking kakantahin

Ngunit nais ko palang maging pinoy muli
Kumain ng Balot at sumakay ng Jeep
Makipagbalagtasan, Makipagtsimisan
Magtext ng walang hangan

Balikan ang Boracay, Palawan at Cebu
Lumamon ng pulutan at tumunga ng beer
Makipatintero, Mag-arnis at escrima

Central Colleges of the Philippines won National Cheer leading Competition!

I almost forgot that this day was also the championship of the National Cheerleading Competition  for the College Division. I did not actually went to the venue which was the Ynares Stadium but I have watched it via studio 23. There were 19 teams that is labeled as the top cheering squad in the whole country. And since there is more than thousands of schools in the nation, its a privilege that a school would be part of the 19 qualifying teams.
And since the competition is cheerleading, the routine of each team would be unpredictable. Cheerleading is also prone to a lot of accidents especially to the ones who are usually tossed up in the air.  This is the 5th year of the competition and my school, CCP, has won 2 championships since then and for this year, they intend to regain the championship title from University of Perpetual Help Delta.
This season of NCC is also special since the brodcast of the event can be watched on High Defenition via ABS-CBN sports. Its also my fist time to see the Ynares stadium which is a new facility and different from the Ynares Colliseum in Antipolo. Since there were 19 teams in the competition, the exhibition time is lessened to 2 minutes and a half. There is also minimal props so it would concentrate more in the movements and stunts of the teams.
The Central Colleges of the Philippines has also won an International Cheerleading Championship, held in Brisbane Austrailia. Well as a student there, I also saw how they spend long hours even in the wee hours practicing their stunts and dances, so I believe that they are worthy of the title. Of course, the other teams have their sacrifices and contributions for their respective teams. Now since all the schools are of the best in the nation, everyone in the 19 teams are awarded. Now below are the ranking of the winners of NCC 2010:

1. Central Colleges of the Philippines - Another achievement after winning internationally!
2. University of the Cordilleras - also my favorite! They have been consistent in the top 5 for these years, kudos!
3. University of Perpetual Help System Delta - they won last year.
4. De La Salle University - for this team I felt that the men were in the spotlight...something like an 'astig' feel
5. Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan - I have to admit they were better than sister school ADMU...
6. Polythechnic University of the Philippines - Taguig -  A big leap of ranking this year!
7. Tarlac State University - who said Tarlac is just rice fields? its home of cool cheerleaders!
8. Rizal Technological University - they lived up to their name to be innovative
9. Ateneo de Manila University - They made sure that they set a standard of international cheerleading.
10. Jose Rizal University - the BOMBS!
11. Notre Dame of Dadiangas University - the Pride of Dadiangas! (General Santos City)
12. Palawan State University - Good job for a new commer in the NCC finals!
13. Araullao University - PHINMA - cool choreography!
14. Southern Luzon State University - not the usual cheering squad!
15. Mapua Institute of Technology - they showed that they are good in sports aside from engineering
16. Angeles University Foundation - a new team to enter the finals and has a good future
17. St. Michael's College Laguna - this school is in Binan, hey I'm from Binan too!
18. Virgins Cheerleading Squad - loved the costume!
19. Unibersidad de Maynila - I saw their team several times in various competitions and agree that they are worthy to be part of the Philippines' best cheer squad.

now here is the winning cheer from the Central Colleges of the Philippines Bobcats!

I hope to see more action and amazing stunts next year, and who knows another Cinderella story will be born in the competition. And since it covers the whole country, more people would take interest in watching this and also show support!

Happy Foundation Day CCP!

This week the Central Colleges of the Philippines is celebrating its 56th Anniversary and also the school website has also made major improvements. Actually I am currently studying Industrial Engineering at this school. And I would really say that there were a lot of improvements in the school amidst the fact it was one of the heavily damaged schools with the Typhoon Ondoy. However, it proved to be very firm and strives for excellence with the improvement of facilities and the quality of its education.

Also one more thing CCP is most proud of is the cheering team that was the team that beats UP and other schools. Recently it also took home the prize as the best cheering squad in the international cheering competition in Australia. And  take note they took home the title Grand Champion.

Of course, the school really focuses on the excellence in their studies and hopefully with the changes it would unleash its potential to be a great school.  One more thing, what also made me inspired to write the article is the fact that our course won championships in the College week. It does motivate us if we reap good harvest with our loyalty and hard work.
