REEL DEAL: “TARZAN” Swings Into Action As Filming Begins On The New 3D Adventure

Principal photography is underway on Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Village Roadshow Pictures’ new Tarzan 3D action adventure, starring Alexander Skarsgård (HBO’s “True Blood”) as the legendary character created by Edgar Rice Burroughs.

David Yates, who helmed the last four “Harry Potter” blockbusters, including “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Parts 1 & 2,” is directing. Jerry Weintraub (“Behind the Candelabra,” the “Ocean’s” trilogy) is producing the film, together with David Barron (the “Harry Potter” films, upcoming “Cinderella”). Susan Ekins, Nikolas Korda, David Yates, Mike Richardson and Bruce Berman are serving as executive producers.

REEL DEAL: First Look at Samuel L. Jackson in Anime Adaptation 'Kite'

Production recently wrapped in South Africa on this thriller about a young woman seeking revenge for the death of her policeman father, also starring Callan McAullife. A gun-toting Samuel L. Jackson squares off against Callan McAuliffe in the first photo from Kite, directed by Ralph Ziman. The story centers on a young woman (India Eisley) who teams up with her dead father's ex-partner (Samuel L. Jackson) on the police force to avenge his death. The project, which is currently in post-production, is a live-action remake of Yasuomi Umetsu's Kite. David R. Ellis was initially set to direct, before hepassed away in January, when Ralph Ziman took over the directing duties. Our young falcon hero Kai (Jeremy Suarez) leaves his remote outpost against his father (Samuel L. Jackson) whishes join the prestigious Hurricane defense flyers fiercely trained by Ajax (Jeff Goldblum) to patrol the skies keeping Zambezia safe. Kai’s father goes after him but is captured as the scheming iguana lizard Budzo (Jim Cummings) conspires to attack the sanctuary. Kai and soul mate Zoe (Abigail Breslin) will need to gather all their flying skills along with a big dose of diplomacy to save the city from Budzo’s deadly plot.

When we think of snails, we think of a slow and boring world. And with what snails do for the rest of their lives is something many people also experience and are trapped in their own cycle of repetitive chores. But the movie TURBO by Dreamworks Animation is now out to prove something that kids and adults can learn a lot.

TURBO tells the story of Theo (Ryan Reynolds), a garden snail who dreams to be fast and reach his idol Guy Ganye. And in one unexpected night, he changed to be the fastest snail in the world. He transformed into a super snail that can run as fast as cars and has taken the new name Turbo.

Now turbo will pursue his dreams as he meets race snails and people along the way. With his superpowers giving him an advantage, will he reach dreams he is longing to have? And what other interesting thing he and his new gang would do to differ from the snail life into a life of speed and slide.
