Fierce Fighters: Introducing the women of "Dungeons & Dragons"

Fearless forecast from Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves producer Jeremy Latcham: Michelle Rodriguez’s Barbarian warrior Holga Kilgore is “going to be someone fans will really fall for.”

Watch the film’s Final Trailer at https://youtu.be/XyTz-RRzrXg

MICHELLE RODRIGUEZ (HOLGA THE BARBARIAN)

Famed for her work as Letty in the Fast & Furious films, Rodriguez possessed the charisma and the athleticism to play an unstoppable warrior who is supremely skilled in combat. On the battlefield, Holga’s inner rage takes over, giving her almost superhuman strength and resilience. “Michelle has this inherent toughness that she brings to the table,” Latcham says. “She’s just a badass.”

Although Holga is formidable, lethal, and intimidating, above all, she is deeply loyal to those she loves. When the film opens, Holga and her best friend, the bard Edgin (played by Chris Pine) are locked away in the notorious prison Revel’s End. Although the duo had once been the leaders of a merry band of well-meaning thieves, their circumstances changed dramatically after a heist gone wrong.

Smurfette Joined by New Female Characters in "Smurfs: The Lost Village"

In Sony Pictures Animation's Smurfs: The Lost Village, Smurfette has lived in Smurf Village her entire life... the same 99 boys every day. But now, she and her best friends are about to go where no Smurf has gone before… through the Forbidden Forest to try to find the Lost Village -- and they find the biggest mystery in Smurf history. It’s going to be the adventure of her life.

“I loved playing Smurfette,” says Demi Lovato, who brings the character to life. “She’s kind and compassionate and really takes care of her fellow Smurfs. But she’s also really brave – she’s adventurous and when she wants something, she goes and gets it. She doesn’t take ‘no’ from anybody, especially Papa Smurf. She’s a strong, independent lady Smurf.

REEL DEAL: Furious 7 REVIEW

I'm excited when after Fast 6 is that they will have Furious 7 which we wanted to be filmed here in the Philippines when they went here for the Asian premiere. Unfortunately Paul Walker got into a car accident during a fund raising event for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan. A gesture that touched his fans here and made his name immortal with his role. Now with Fast and Furious 7 shows here, it will be the last time we will see him and many are curious how his last ride will be.

And it was indeed another festival of cars, lots of them. And in the tradition of the series, it will involve explosions, crashes, races, and technology. Coming for the crew is the "big bad brother" Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) who is after revenge for his fallen brother, Owen Shaw. There is another dilemma with the involvement of another terror group after a highly valued hostage.

The value of family beyond friendship still persist as the driving motivation for the gang with the demise of Han in Tokyo, they become the hunted with lives on the line. Ronda Rousney also makes an on screen debut with what she does best, fighting. It was pretty emotional with the tribute for Paul brought tears to everyone's eyes including mine.

Furious 7 is now showing in cinemas. Distributed by United International Pictures.

Deliberation time kids!

Show summary in 3 lines:One Last Ride
Technical Effects: 5 out of 5 stars (The cinematography was also adrenaline pumped!)
Plot: 4 out of 5 stars (They have Ronda Rousney!)
Music and Soundtracks:  5 out for 5 stars (Emotional songs to the standard hiphop tunes, but the final song stood up among all of the songs in the soundtrack)
Pros:  Cars, Hard hitting action, hand to hand combat, Paul Walker Tribute
Cons:   Reoccurring themes, Tokyo Drift details, Roman (Ludacris) jokes
Overall Rating: 4.8 out of 5 stars (The best in the franchise so far with a very emotional tribute to the late Paul Walker)

REEL DEAL: Jason Statham Take Over As Main Villain In “FAST & FURIOUS 7”

British actor Jason Statham best known for his hard-hitting action films (“Transporter,” “Crank”) takes over as the new formidable villain in Universal Pictures' “Fast & Furious 7.”

In the Fast tradition of baddies, Owen Shaw (Luke Evans) had been the most impressive rival the crew had come up against. However, with one lethal move against Han (Sung Kang), Statham’s Deckard Shaw eclipses his brother with an endgame even more personal: to take Dom (Vin Diesel) and the crew down, one by one.

REEL DEAL: Vin Diesel Steers "FAST & FURIOUS 7" To Most Memorable Ride

Inhabiting a character for more than a decade is a rarity for most actors, but it’s something that the multicultural ensemble of Universal Pictures' “Fast & Furious 7,” takes quite seriously—whether it is about dialogue, story points, or car selection. There’s a certain amount of fierce pride that comes with their endurance, which parallels the swagger of streetwise underdogs they all helped bring to audiences so many years ago.

No one owns that pride more than Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez, who play ex-lovers Dom and Letty, respectively.

Continuing the global exploits in the unstoppable franchise built on speed, Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson lead the returning cast of “Fast & Furious 7.”

James Wan directs this chapter of the hugely successful series that also welcomes back favorites Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Elsa Pataky and Lucas Black. They are joined by international action stars new to the franchise including Jason Statham, Djimon Hounsou, Tony Jaa, Ronda Rousey and Kurt Russell.

Neal H. Moritz, Vin Diesel and Michael Fottrell return to produce the film written by Chris Morgan.

“Fast & Furious 7” opens across the Philippines on Black Saturday, April 04 and will be distributed by United International Pictures through Columbia Pictures.
Universal Pictures' “Fast & Furious 7” officially wrapped production today, July 11, as announced in the film's official Facebook page.
