Idris Elba, Indestructible Villain in "Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw"

With every new chapter in the Fast franchise, the stakes are exponentially higher, and the villains exponentially more indomitable. For the spinoff film Hobbs & Shaw, the filmmakers needed to create a new type of nemesis unlike any in the history of the franchise—a mold-breaking adversary worthy of the two fearless heroes Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) and Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham).

REEL DEAL: Furious 7 REVIEW

I'm excited when after Fast 6 is that they will have Furious 7 which we wanted to be filmed here in the Philippines when they went here for the Asian premiere. Unfortunately Paul Walker got into a car accident during a fund raising event for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan. A gesture that touched his fans here and made his name immortal with his role. Now with Fast and Furious 7 shows here, it will be the last time we will see him and many are curious how his last ride will be.

And it was indeed another festival of cars, lots of them. And in the tradition of the series, it will involve explosions, crashes, races, and technology. Coming for the crew is the "big bad brother" Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) who is after revenge for his fallen brother, Owen Shaw. There is another dilemma with the involvement of another terror group after a highly valued hostage.

The value of family beyond friendship still persist as the driving motivation for the gang with the demise of Han in Tokyo, they become the hunted with lives on the line. Ronda Rousney also makes an on screen debut with what she does best, fighting. It was pretty emotional with the tribute for Paul brought tears to everyone's eyes including mine.

Furious 7 is now showing in cinemas. Distributed by United International Pictures.

Deliberation time kids!

Show summary in 3 lines:One Last Ride
Technical Effects: 5 out of 5 stars (The cinematography was also adrenaline pumped!)

Cons:   Reoccurring themes, Tokyo Drift details, Roman (Ludacris) jokes
Overall Rating: 4.8 out of 5 stars (The best in the franchise so far with a very emotional tribute to the late Paul Walker)

REEL DEAL: Fast and the Furious 6 REVIEW

Fast and Furious 6 has been well loved with all of those cars, cars and even more cars. Which most of them ended up crashed or blown up (*cry*). And now on its 6th installment made another interesting turn when one of the family their thought was dead turned up alive.

With an international mastermind Owen Shaw on the loose, armed with weapons and also fast tough cars that par with the group of Dom (Vin Diesel), the clash becomes ugly, destructive and dangerous.

Fast and Furious 6 is also special as it held its Asian premiere  here in the Philippines. With an explosive entrance and warm welcome from the Filipino people, the cast had a blast in enjoying the unveiling of the movie in this part of South East Asia.

Though it will not be the last of the franchise, there is still more and you have to wait for it at the end credits.

Proud to be Brown Presents ...The Speaks!

The Speaks were in Manila but I missed the event. HOWEVER, I still love their songs!
And the great thing is their members are Filipino(well most of them)! Actually it was been a while since we heard from them, but their music has permanence! I can still feel shivers while listening to them. I haven't got their album, but hope I would have one soon. So be proud to be brown!
