Achieving good nutrition with everyday Filipino meals

GOOD HEALTH IS A CHOICE. We can choose
foods rich in micronutrients—these are
usually fruits and vegetables. Even a
sandwich can be a healthy snack if it
has vegetables in it. Take Centrum
vitamins and minerals supplement along
with a healthy diet to make sure you
get complete nutrition.
OUR HEALTH depends on the nutrition and energy we get from the meals we eat. The question is: Are we really getting enough nutrients from the foods we consume every day?

If we want to perform at our peak level at work, in sports, in school, or even when having fun with relatives and friends, we need to make sure that we are getting complete nutrition on a daily basis.

However, our busy lifestyles often require us to eat what’s most conveniently available at the time. Many times, we don’t get to choose the most nutritious food possible. As a result, we have gaps in our daily nutrition intake.

According to Rommel Tinio, M.D., who specializes in occupational and nutritional medicine, most people nowadays are sorely lacking in vitamins and minerals. Dr. Tinio is a biochemist and a medical doctor. He operates his own clinic, Health Asia Medical Clinic in Makati, where he treats patients using nutrition therapies and coaching on how they can use the proper diet to maintain their health

Lucy’s secrets to sustaining youth... Revealed!

Doing a TV show, being a mom, wife and now a congresswoman, Lucy Torres-Gomez still stays healthy and beautiful even at her Somatopausal age,  that stage which begins in your late 20s, when the physical signs of aging start to show, and one’s vigor and vitality also begin to deteriorate.

Emotionally you sweat the small stuff less, you are less hard on yourself.  You can be deliciously unapologetic about your choices.  But while women my age are past the insecurities of youth, we are also faced with the realities of aging,” Lucy says.

Lucy never misses taking her vitamins and supplements.  In fact, she says, her hectic schedule has even prompted her to take the multivitamin supplement, Immuvit.

Immuvit is my health partner, especially now that my schedule is more hectic.  I find it convenient because you just take it daily, and you already and reap the benefits of the good it does for your optimum health and looks,” she says.

Immuvit is the only multivitamin supplement in the market that contains the powerful combination of CoQ10 and two ginsengs—Korean RPC Ginseng and Siberian Ginseng. CoQ10 is an antioxidant that helps protect the body against the damages caused by free radicals. It helps maintain cell growth and maintenance as well as boost the immune system. Korean RPC Ginseng and Siberian Ginseng, meanwhile, help revitalize the body and increase its resistance and fatigue.

As Lucy herself acknowledges, feeling good is as vital as looking good, she feels as energized as ever, and as most of us may observe, as youthful-looking, too.

These lifestyle choices will be all for naught, though, if one does not keep one’s priorities in perspective.  Having a good attitude towards life, after all, is as important as the vitamins, food, and physical activities that one takes on.
