Why the Vivo V5 Lite is way ahead of its competitors

Equipped with a 16-megapixel front camera,
the Vivo V5 Lite produces high-quality and more radiant selfies
compared to other phones in the same price range.
In the wake of its recent launch, the Vivo V5 Lite has drawn the attention of selfie enthusiasts nationwide due to its 16-megapixel camera, an outstanding feature that no other smartphone brand in the same price range—P9,990—can claim to have.

Too good to be true? Not if selfie fans pit the Vivo V5 Lite against similarly priced competitors, such as the Oppo A39.

First, take a selfie using both the V5 Lite and the competitor—and note the glaring difference in terms of clarity of details. After all, the Oppo A39 only has an eight-megapixel shutter vis-à-vis the Vivo V5 Lite’s 16 MP front camera.

Vivo absolutely nails the selfie game here, as shown in the high-pixel details of the subject’s facial features and hair, and even those of the image’s background.

Pinoy Spartan Team Proves That Together, No Obstacles Is Too Tough

What one can achieve, a team can do better.

Meet TeamBato: a band of fearless iron men and women from the Philippines who’ve come together to conquer some of history’s toughest races in true Filipino style.

The team first formed when a number of Filipinos in Singapore joined the Lion City’s inaugural Spartan Race in 2015. The first of the race’s Trifecta Series, the Spartan Sprint was difficult enough to push them past their limits as they ploughed through 20 to 23 obstacles on a three- to five-mile course.

From climbing steep ramps to crossing mud and even fire, TeamBato quickly realized that on top of having to prepare physically and mentally for the race, they also needed to rely on one another to emerge victorious. After completing the Spartan Sprint, the group started training in weekly workouts to better prepare for succeeding events. It was then that the Filipino spirit of friendship and community awakened in each member.

It’s Always a Fiesta with May Sparkling Grape Juice!

With our high-spirited flair for celebration and inherently fun-loving nature, it comes as no surprise that we Filipinos are renowned for being among the happiest people in the world! This penchant for coming together in the spirit of merrymaking is perhaps best demonstrated in the multitude of colorful annual festivals that happen all over our country, and each fiesta presents its own unique experience. Most provinces celebrate their colorful fiestas during the summer season. Listed below are some of the biggest fiestas that we Filipinos look forward to and are the vacation highlights during May and June:

Pahiyas Festival

Celebrated in thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest, the Pahiyas Festival is held on the 15th of May in Lucban, Quezon. Houses lining the streets of Lucban are finely decorated with agricultural produce, plants and colorful rice wafers called kiping. A friendly spirit of competition fills the air as neighbors try to outdo each other’s decorative creativity, although doors are open and neighbors are all welcome to partake of the feasts laid out inside.

Dwayne Johnson Anchors "Baywatch" With Boundless Personality

Superstar Dwayne Johnson rocks the beach as lifeguard hero Mitch Buchannon in Paramount Pictures' big-screen adaptation of Baywatch (in Philippine cinemas May 31, 2017).

In Emerald Bay, no one looms larger than legendary lifeguard, Lieutenant Mitch Buchannon. As the leader of the Baywatch team, Mitch has become something of a local folk hero.

“Mitch’s singular goal on any given day is to protect his beach and the people who come there to enjoy it,” Johnson explains. “He cares deeply about the people of Emerald Bay and they love him for it, to the point that the locals have created their own mythology around him. ‘Did he create Google?’ ‘Did he help launch the first rocket to the moon, even though he’s in his early forties?’ He’s shrouded in mystery.”
