Why the Philippines? Leading proptech startup Ohmyhome shares the reason behind its incursion into the country

In the wake of Ohmyhome’s success in Singapore and Malaysia,
the company’s unique hybrid model will now revolutionize
the way Filipinos pursue housing transactions.

According to Ohmyhome founders, sisters Race and Rhonda Wong, the decision to expand into the Philippines started simply: with love.

Back in 2016 when the proptech startup team in Singapore only had less than ten people, two members were Filipino. Race and Rhonda, who loved and valued their growing team, knew that a Filipino teammate was newly wed and had a wife in Manila whom he missed very much. Before long, Race and Rhonda made a promise to their 2 Filipino teammates that Ohmyhome will set up an office in Manila to bring them closer to their family.

Ali Gate Teams With Alessia Cara For Heartfelt Single "Welcome Back"

Toronto talent Ali Gatie has unveiled the breezy, yet heartfelt “Welcome Back,” his latest song and first-ever collaboration, featuring alt-pop dynamo Alessia Cara. Following up the lovelorn R&B hits “Running on My Mind” and “If I Fall in Love,” this instantly memorable new single proves Ali Gatie is on track for global pop domination.

“Welcome Back” arrives as an optimistic sign of things returning to normalcy as we navigate through a global pandemic and highlights one of the singer/songwriter’s most charming qualities: He finds hope even in heartache. “I’ve been keeping doors unlocked just hoping you would walk back in,” he croons over a brightly reverbed guitar. Cara effortlessly slips right in with her soulful voice repeating his words before their vocals melt together: “Feels like you were never gone; I’m glad you’re back / If it doesn’t last, at least we had that time that we had.” Not only is it a song written to a lover, but Ali wrote it as a song to his former self.

Premiering Exclusively on YouTube on September 25 Globe Studios’ ‘Gaya Sa Pelikula’ Is All About Celebrating Queer Love

Admittedly, our perception of love — how to love, who to love, when to love — has been influenced  by all sorts of stories and tropes we see on the big screen and read in novels. In a landscape  dominated by straight leads, Globe Studios releases a powerful love story to show the queer  community that their own aspirational love stories are also meant to be told.

Globe Studios, who has in its roster, high-caliber and award-winning films like Birdshot, Goyo,  Hintayan sa Langit, LSS and Dead Kids, is back with their first ever narrative digital series that is  surely going to bring all the “kilig” and laughter in a refreshingly unique way with Gaya sa Pelikula  (Like in The Movies). The series is a love letter for and from the community in how it freely  presents queer love, all its feelings, and all its possibilities that can lead to a most-deserved happy  ending. Without exoticizing queer love, the story is presented in the most normal way possible.  For the LGBTQIA+ community, Gaya Sa Pelikula proudly banners - “It’s time to take back our  story.”
