Runmanila offers new sound in debut single RUN

After years of working with Runmanila’s unique sound, band members Kevin Lim (Vocals, Sound Effects), Aaron Cruz (Programming, Guitars, Synthesizers), JR Jader (Electronics, Beats, Electro Drums) and Ignacio Cuyegkeng (Guitars, Synthesizers, Sound effects) is now ready to take their music to another level – by releasing their debut single RUN and eventually their own EP. The EP is produced by Universal Records.

RUN is a catchy, upbeat tune that perfectly describes the kind of music the band wants to offer to the public – in their own words, “we want to call it ElectroPopRock -where rock meets dance, head banging meets booty shaking, rock moves plus dance grooves.”

Lovi Poe helps out: Behind the scenes of GMA News TV's "Titser"

GMA News TV’s new original series TITSER, which follows in the footsteps of Bayan Ko, is being shot like an indie film or documentary – with minimal lights, no air-conditioned tents or portalets, no special food for the artists.

TITSER's leading lady Lovi Poe is deglamorized in this TV series about a smart barrio lass struggling to become a teacher but facing many obstacles along the way.

On set, Lovi has even been caught helping out the production crew, surprising everyone with her gung ho attitude.  Here, she’s seen gathering tall grass to cover equipment cables – along with the rest of the TITSER staff -- so the shoot could commence quickly.

TITSER begins airing Sunday, August 4 on GMA News TV Channel 11.   It will be preceded by a primer episode featuring behind the scenes footage and interviews, which will air on Sunday, July 28.

REEL DEAL: Boses SPOTLIGHT

I have been seeing the trailer of this indie movie BOSES in many of the movie premiere I went to since last year. And actually I was impressed with the trailer, and they did not just did it with the trailer but also with its screening.

Boses will finally be shown in SM Cinemas this July 31, 2013. And I hope this film does well and will be loved by many. Since we do see the rise of Filipinos going to be the cinemas, better to watch a quality movie like this. Boses stars Cherry Pie Picache, Ricky Davao, Meryl Soriano, Coke Bolipata and the child wonder Julian Duque.

From the trailer it shows a story of a abused boy who then discovers his love of music especially with the violin. However he faces challenges with the people around him especially his parents. Also you will be awed with the musical prowess of Julian with the violin. Well you can even check the trailer below to see it for yourself.

Boses is directed by Ellen Ongkeko Marfil.

Mother Lily, Marian make peace after "misunderstanding"

After news reports on Wednesday (June 19) revealed a "misunderstanding" between Regal Films matriarch Mother Lily Monteverde and Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera, which had something to do with Regal's non-participation in this year's Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), the two patched things up on Thursday, June 20, at the press conference of Marian's upcoming movie with Richard Gutierrez, "My Lady Boss."

In an interview, Marian said that she has a lot to thank Monteverde for and that without her support and help, she (Marian) would not have become the star that she is today. She maintained that whatever happened between her and the producer was just a "misunderstanding."

Later in the press conference Monteverde arrived and Marian welcomed her with a tight hug which lightened up the tensed atmosphere.
