Self-taught on the guitar and keyboard, and with basic violin mentoring, XYVRL's early years were marked by a deep, self-driven musical education.

Universal Records, one of the biggest and most-known record labels here in the Philippines just produced its first-ever online mini-series and it’s set to launch this February 2023!

Of course, for a long-time and reputable organization that helped in bringing countless OPM hits for decades, this said show is aptly named after a famous song. This year, everyone is bound to witness a very sweet love story in “Pag-ibig Na Kaya”, led by the now real-life couple Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz. It is written by JP Lopez and directed by Niq Ablao.

The entire cast will be announced very soon but to spice things up, this show will be graced by a talented Korean actor, Kim Won-Shik, billed to be the second male lead for this show, that is all about love… and its many forms.

Jay Garche Gives Heart-Rending Stripped Back Version Of Hit Love Song “Mahal Na Mahal”

It injects such a bittersweet flavor to the already known love song.

The Voice Teens Season 2 runner-up turned UR artist already finished recording the song in August and believes that it’s perfect to release the song right away. He’s also set to unveil an official music video for “Mahal Na Mahal” later this year. It follows the release of his debut original single “Hayaan Lang” last June.

The 35th Awit Awards recently announced the list of nominees and a good number of talented artists and releases under Universal Records Philippines received respective nominations in various categories.

This year, the music recognition show teamed up with Philippine Association of Recording Industries (PARI) along with popular music brand MYX to present this year’s nominees last September 23, 2022.

UR artists who got nominated include Christian Bautista for Best Song Written for a Movie/TV/Stage Play (“Tuloy Ka Lang”), Shanti Dope for Best Rap/Hip-Hop Recording (“Ikaw” feat.
