Korean Actor Kim Ji Soo Shows Hands-On Support in Typhoon Carina Relief Operations Along With GMA Kapuso Foundation

In a touching display of solidarity and compassion, South Korean actor Kim Ji Soo recently joined a relief operation organized by the GMA Kapuso Foundation and news and public affairs program 'Dapat Alam Mo!' to aid those affected by Typhoon Carina. This heartfelt gesture comes at a crucial time, aiming to bring comfort and relief to the communities severely impacted by the natural disaster.

Kim Ji Soo, known for his roles in popular Korean dramas and also recently attended the GMA Gala 2024 where he grabbed the Red Carpet Scene Stealer award, expressed that this was his first time witnessing the aftermath of flooding in the Philippines. Despite the challenges posed by the typhoon, he chose to stay and lend a helping hand, showcasing his dedication and empathy for those in need.

Delivery service provider foodpanda logistics is stepping up to support its delivery partners affected by Super Typhoon Carina with a donation of more than Php 5 million worth of food and essentials. This aid, part of the Panda Pag-asa program, aims to benefit around 10,000 of their Ka-panda delivery partners in severely affected areas such as Metro Manila, Cainta, South Metro Manila, Baguio, and Bulacan. 

As part of the initiative, their pandaPatrol: Hub on Wheels, originally used to serve as a rider support hub, will roam through these target cities, distributing essential relief items such as water, rice and canned goods. “Our Ka-pandas are always in our minds and hearts. We strive to act quickly and effectively to provide relief to our heroes who are always ready to serve customers,” foopanda logistics Rider Experience Lead Ron Sanders stated.
