5 Questions We Have After Watching the Balaraw Trailer

Still at the edge of your seat after watching Balaraw’s trailer? Our adventure to the island is just getting started. A mystery always leaves us wanting more. After pressing play on what Sabina’s story has in store for us, here are some questions that will certainly keep us tuned in to Netflix’s upcoming Original series:

1. Why can Sabina see Balaraw in her dreams?

In the trailer, Sabina’s mother asks if she still dreams about the island. This makes us wonder, has Sabina already gone to Balaraw before… or is her mind just playing tricks on her? We’ll just have to wait and see.

2. How did Rebecca leave?

Balaraw seems to be an island where people stay… except for Rebecca, that is. Of course, there’s a reason behind it that we’ll soon uncover as our characters’ arcs in Babang Yawa begin.

3. Is she dead?

You’ve all seen that jump scare! That begs us to ask this question that Sabina is also trying to figure out after years of searching for her mother—one of the many mysteries that we’ll unpack in the upcoming episodes.

4. Who are the people on the island?

The different scenes from the trailer feature people who have settled themselves into the island. There may be people like Rebecca who wanted to leave, but there’s also another side of the story that will soon unfold—what makes a person stay in Balaraw.

5. What lies ahead for those who come to Balaraw?

Like Sabina, we’re getting ourselves into an adventure as we explore the island in every episode. We all know that there’s always something more than meets the eye. So, whether you’re a sucker for mysteries, a lover of thrillers, or just a genre explorer, let your curiosity get the best of you and add Balaraw to your watch-list. It’s even just in time for the spooky season!
