Devilish Genie in a Lamp vs. Psychopath Master – ‘Genie, Make a Wish’ reveals official trailer ahead of October 3 launch

Kim Woo-bin (Officer Black Belt, Black Knight) portrays Genie. Unlike the kind Genie everyone is familiar with, he is a Satan who tempts and corrupts humans with three wishes. However, he's not just any Satan—he's an eccentric character who has awakened after a thousand years and is naive about the world.

“Bon Appétit, Your Majesty” Tops the Global Netflix Charts with Finale Approaching

Kontrabida Academy - Embracing Our Villain Era

What seems to be the most overused plot in TV and movies is what made Kontrabida Academy fun and entertaining in its run. We all know the dynamics of bidas and kontrabidas and how they make the story interesting, and it sometimes also shows in reality with our own heroes and villains in our lives.

Barbie and Eugene paired with the most iconic villains of many generations is celebrated as an institution in this film. Being too good does have its limits and will definitely bring out the pent up badness in everyone. Chris Martinez indeed is a master in terms of campy comedy with a touch of sci-fi. And it also jabs in some commentary on the entertainment industry on taking new risks or sticking to the formula that they think still works.

Kontrabida Academy was indeed a delightful surprise and I would think a spin off can also be possible to extend to more iconic Pinoy villains.

Kontrabida Academy  is now streaming on Netflix.

The production team’s commitment to authenticity is evident in the meticulous attention to costumes, weaponry, and the physical training of the cast, ensuring each character leaves a memorable impression even in the midst of rapid-fire action.

You Can Now Create Bite-Sized Clips from Your Favorite Scenes on Netflix

Last year, Netflix introduced Moments, a mobile feature that lets you save, relive, and share unforgettable scenes like Wednesday Addams’s viral dance moves or the debut of Saja Boys’ iconic track “Soda Pop,” in KPop Demon Hunters, which now ranks as Netflix’s most popular moment.

Whether you’re reliving the demon boy band’s entrance into the K-pop scene or replaying their hit song on loop, it’s clear fans love having a way to hold on to the scenes that stick — and now here are even more ways to make them your own.
