You have to admit—sometimes, the best plans are the ones that don’t require you to leave the house! You could be a bookworm itching to crack open a book from your TBR pile, someone who honors the sacred rituals of your “me time”, or simply an avid film (or series) buff just itching to press play on the next interesting title on your homescreen!

No matter what kind of viewer you are, Netflix is here to deliver.

So whether you’re in the mood to schedule a watch party with your friends, settle in comfortably on the couch with the whole family, or just want to step into make-believe worlds for an hour (or two!), there is something for you to stream this September on Netflix Philippines.

The Netflix C.H.I.K.A. Adds More Flair to These Local Titles

Did you love, love, love seeing Kris Aquino in her latest role? But wait, there’s more! The Netflix C.H.I.K.A. (Chief Head of Insights and Kontent Analysis) is just getting started.

On the second episode, Kris and her trusty editor Earljohn are back for another session! And this time, she’s set to level up the feel of more of our favorite local titles. Halfway through her first day on the job, she continues to offer her creative touch to the scenes of Someone, Someday; Rekonek, Love You So Bad, and Unmarry. From turning an offensive graffiti into a cutesy statement, and connecting two characters with signal troubles, to intensifying a “run away with me” scene and giving a dramatic shot some picker-upper—witness how these series and films turn into Kris Aquino-approved titles!

Explore these must-watch Filipino titles and more, now on Netflix.

The “Queen of All Media” Lands A Big Role: She’s the New Netflix C.H.I.K.A.

Walang alarm, walang anything—The “Queen of All Media” Kris Aquino is back on our screens; but not quite in the way that you expected! Her new role? She is the official C.H.I.K.A. (or Chief Head of Insights and Kontent Analysis) of Netflix!

Did you miss Kris and her honest-to-goodness comments? In the video, she sits down with editor Earljohn and brings her keen eye back to work. The C.H.I.K.A. begins her first day with a post-process treatment to three clips—a snowy, winter shot, an intense fight scene, and some styling mishap. As Earljohn heeds the suggestion of his new boss, they take A Secret in Prague, Blood vs Duty, and The Master Cutter from “nakakaloka!” to “love, love, love!” with effects and filters that are truly Kris Aquino-approved!

Watch these exciting Filipino titles and more, now playing on Netflix.

Sweetly Tangled, Hopelessly Stuck: ‘Our Sticky Love’ Unveils Main Poster and Trailer

Premiering August 7, romcom series Our Sticky Love follows Go Eun-sae (Ha Young), a prosecutor who lost her memory, and Jang Tae-ha (Jung Hae-in), a boxing coach who claims to be her boyfriend. As the two end up living together, a strange arrangement in a small town turns into a quirky, sweet romance. Jung Hae-in and Ha Young promise to bring to life an offbeat love story to life with easy chemistry and humor.

“It’s a heart-warming, feel-good romantic comedy,” says director Kim Jang-han. “It’s a story about building love that binds two people as tightly as sticky, sweet Korean taffy. The series’ irresistible charm will leave you unable to pull yourself away, just like getting stuck to Korean taffy before you even realize it,” adds the director, further heightening anticipation.

The main trailer offers a glimpse of their rocky beginning in the Taffy Village in Gujin-gun. Eun-sae wakes up in a strange hospital in a rural town with all of her memories lost. Before she makes sense of anything, Tae-ha appears, calmly claiming to be her boyfriend. His shabby appearance could not be further from Go Eun-sae’s usual taste, and the quiet small town lined with traditional taffy shops and its peculiar residents feels alien and uncomfortable to her. Unable to make sense of her surroundings, she remains confused and finds herself unable to trust a word from Tae-ha, her supposed boyfriend.
