Born in our “real world” with sound-color synesthesia - a unique ability that allows her to see colors when she hears certain sounds - Nagi has spent her entire life feeling like she doesn’t belong. Dreaming of one day being able to fly, Nagi will soon come face to face with Thaim, another misfit from a different world. Born in Upananta, Thaim has long been treated like an outcast for his inability to hear the voices of the dragons that inhabit his animated land.

Far Eastern University Present Ballet Manila's LA TRAVIATA

La Traviata is an opera by Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi. It premiered at the La Fenice Opera House in Venice on March 6, 1853. La Traviata means the fallen woman or one who goes astray and refers to the main character, Violetta Valéry, a courtesan.

La Traviata’s story is about the courtesan Violetta and Alfredo, the man who falls for her and whom she loves in return. While the passion between them is intense, Violetta is torn, as Alfredo's father Giorgio asked her to make the supreme sacrifice of leaving Alfredo so his sister would be able to marry properly. Violetta's illness returns and she is reunited momentarily with Alfredo.

This opera was made into a full ballet by multi-awarded Filipino prima ballerina Lisa Macuja-Elizalde of Ballet Manila.

3 opera singers will perform live, namely Anna Migallos, Mher U. Nival, and Roby Malubay.

Turn Back Time: Reminisque Bistro Opens in Tomas Morato

What better way to take a trip down memory lane than by way of a new bistro in Tomas Morato that celebrates the fun, nostalgic vibe of the decades past. Reminisque Bistro opened its doors to the public last July 30, and as the name suggests, this cozy dining hub aims to provide a venue for adult professionals and yuppies who are craving for some straight-up, comfort grub with the distinct feel of hometown goodness. Metro Manila’s newest go-to place for foodies and pub crawlers steers clear of the usual culinary fix being served by nearby restos and cafes in the area. Instead, it focuses on exquisite, traditional Filipino cuisine, but the kind that incorporates fresh new ideas with delicious regional taste.

Almost everything that comes out of the kitchen is a specialty prepared in classic, flavorful glory: kansi, a rare Ilonggo delicacy that straddles the fine line between bulalo and sinigang, is a huge hit among regulars, especially after giving its thick, tangy taste a try. Their traditionally prepared kare-kare brings a slice of home: earthily smoothened and savored with grounded peanuts and roasted rice grains. Reminisque Bistro also offers lengua—a rich and tasty ox tongue recipe in creamy mushroom sauce and red wine; the classic sisig with pita—a popular Filipino appetizer that goes well with beer and surprisingly, pita bread; and the famous Reminisque chicken— fried to golden brown with a unique savory taste you’ll surely remember.

A REMARKABLE SWAN SONG: Filipino Jet Ski champion takes home another world title in impressive last hurrah

A remarkable final race

Del Rosario’s recent and final race was held at Lake Havasu City in Arizona, USA, in early October, entering his last World championship at the 2023 SBT (Short Block Technologies) IJSBA Jetski World Finals.

Paul del Rosario was able to secure one first place finish for the Philippines, under the amateur ski modlites class, and a runner up finish in another category the, veterans (ages 35-45yrs) ski gp class. Both categories are from the ski class/stand up category, a jetski type with no built in seats, requiring the rider to stand up, which is the most difficult form of jetski racing to date.
