Universal Pictures presents the new epic adventure Dolittle, the vivid re-imagining of the classic tale of the man who could talk to animals.  When the young Queen Victoria falls gravely ill, the hermetic Dr. Dolittle (Robert Downey,Jr.) is forced to set sail on an epic adventure to a mythical island in search of a cure, regaining his wit and courage as he crosses old adversaries and discovers wondrous creatures.

The doctor is joined on his quest by a raucous coterie of animal friends.  Meet them below!

Regal, vain, and ferocious when called for, Poly (Emma Thompson) is Dolittle’s oldest friend, as well as his conscience. Dolittle listens to Poly most closely, even when—as is often the case—she is saying something he doesn’t want to hear. Poly speaks human better than any other parrot, and the gruff matriarch keeps a steady eye on all the family.

Emma Watson Announces The Book Fairies' Worldwide "Little Women" Activity

Emma Watson has announced that starting today, book fairies around the globe, including the Philippines, are hiding over 2,000 copies of Louisa May Alcott’s classic novel, “Little Women.”

The Book Fairies hide books every day, each adorned with a sticker which reads ‘Take this book, read it & leave it for the next person to enjoy’. In anticipation of the February 19 Philippine release of Sony Pictures’ “Little Women” movie, in which Watson stars as Meg March, book fairies are celebrating the novel and delighting book finders along the way.

Every novel that The Book Fairies are hiding over the next few days contains a copy of a note from Emma herself hidden within the pages. In the note, which was handwritten, Emma talks about her enjoyment of being in the film, and hopes that the finder enjoys the book.

PayMongo, GCash partner to empower MSMEs with mobile payments

GCash, the Philippines’ leading mobile wallet, has partnered with PayMongo, a Silicon Valley-backed payments facilitator, to provide an expanded mobile payments platform for micro-, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the country.

GCash is now live on the PayMongo site as a payment method for thousands of online sellers. PayMongo has 3,500 merchant accounts on its platform.

“PayMongo provides the easiest way for Filipino merchants to accept credit card, e-wallet and over-the-counter payments. PayMongo is backed by Silicon Valley’s Y Combinator, Peter Thiel and Stripe,” PayMongo Chief Executive Officer Francis Plaza said.

Warner Bros. Pictures has just released the official trailer of Christopher Nolan’s new film “Tenet.”

Filmed on location across seven countries utilizing a mixture of IMAX® and 70mm film to bring the story to the screen, “Tenet” is an action epic evolving from the world of international espionage.

Directed and written by Christopher Nolan, “Tenet’s” international ensemble cast is led by John David Washington and also stars Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, with Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh.  

The film is produced by Nolan and Emma Thomas.  Nolan’s behind-the-scenes creative team includes director of photography Hoyte van Hoytema, production designer Nathan Crowley, editor Jennifer Lame, costume designer Jeffrey Kurland, and visual effects supervisor Andrew Jackson.  The score is being composed by Ludwig Göransson.
