Get ready for brutal fights all around and more intense action in “The Accountant 2,” sequel to the hit 2016 film “The Accountant,” starring Ben Affleck.

“The shooting style of this sequel is quite distinct from the previous film,” says director of photography Seamus McGarvey, who also worked on the first film. “The difference is the action sequences, which have a kind of mayhem. That was exciting to play with.”

In planning and executing one of the film’s biggest action sequences, a climactic gun battle, director Gavin O’Connor, Affleck (Christian Wolff) and Jon Bernthal (Brax) benefited from the expertise of tactical advisor Tyler Grey, an Army veteran who served in the elite Delta Force.

Get to know the characters of “A Minecraft Movie,” starring Jason Momoa and Jack Black, now showing in cinemas!

“When you play the game Minecraft, it’s a total community,” says “A Minecraft Movie” director Jared Hess. “There’s so many people that play it worldwide all the time, and the friendships that you make in the game are lasting.”

Even though “A Minecraft Movie” tells one story, it is just one out of endless possible other stories, which is part of what makes the world of Minecraft so appealing and endearing to many. “The crazy thing about the game is that when you play the game, there’s no story,” continues Hess. “Anyone who plays it – and there are billions of players worldwide – creates their own story when they play the game. So, there are billions of stories out there, and this is one Minecraft story. It’s absurd, it’s funny, it’s just one of the most outrageous adventure movies you’ll ever see.”

Oscar-winning “Parasite” director Bong Joon Ho and Robert Pattinson talk about what drew them to “Mickey 17,” in cinemas March 5

Robert Pattinson as Mickey 18 and Mickey 17 in Bong Joon Ho’s “Mickey 17.”

Director Bong Joon Ho, who won Academy Awards in 2020 for writing and directing “Parasite,” is back in the director’s chair with the hotly anticipated “Mickey 17,” starring Robert Pattinson.

Just from the summary of the original novel, “Mickey 7” by Edward Ashton, Bong says he was “instantly captivated” and got more engrossed in the story as he read page by page. “I thought that it had such a unique concept, which is human printing, and that’s very different from human cloning,” says the filmmaker. “It’s like you’re printing out humans as if human beings are just pieces of paper, documents to be printed out. And I thought that human printing – even in the expression itself – we could sense the tragedy of that condition and that profession. And so, I started thinking about what it would be like to actually be that person being printed out. All these thoughts came to me and I was completely in that world instantly.”

MMFF 2024 REVIEW: Uninvited - Thrilling Gatecrashing

Among the entries of the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival, UNINVITED is the one that the most of my attention with the interesting plot and star-studded cast. Especially when you bring in Nadine Lustre, Aga Muhlach, and the star for all seasons, Vilma Santos into a movie that brings out a different side of them is really something to watch out for.

Uninvited is Mentorque Productions entry to the 2024 MMFF from their successful film last year 'Mallari'. Now taking things further, they wanted to make a statement with something lavish and outrageous with this movie. From the trailers, we already saw a very feisty Nadine, a ruthless Aga, and a vengeful Vilma. From those characters, I was already sold to watch the film.

Aga plays Guilly Vega, a wealthy billionaire who throws an extravagant birthday party with his wife and daughter Nicole (Nadine) along with his partners who were part of underground illegal activities, Vilma is Lilia Capistrano / Eva Candelaria, a mother seeking revenge for the death of her daughter caused by Gully.
