Globe and Microsoft Partner for a Learning Session With 21st Century Educators

Globe, in partnership with Microsoft held an E-skwela Partner-Led Learning Session on January 22, 2021. Entitled Office 365 for Education: Learning Essentials for 21st Century Educators, the webinar was an online effort of Globe and Microsoft to help partners in the academe be informed and gain access to tools that would provide quality learning experience to their students.

The webinar shed light on the current difficulties and challenges faced by educators and learners—one of which is the change of mindset and attitudes of learners due to the absence of face-to-face interaction. Mark Arthur Abalos, Segment Head for Education of One Globe Education, mentioned that virtual classes have caused a noticeable shift in student behavior. And as such, Globe is committed to help educators understand and adjust to these changes.

SM Cyberzone TechnoLife Affair

Technology, Cosplay, Gadgets and all in between that is happening at the SM Megamall

Activity Center for the technolife affair. The three day event that features the latest

gadgets and technology. The event happened on March 24-26, 2011. The first two days

introduced the latest technology on day one and day two featured the experts in Yahoo and

Microsoft to harness the power of social networking.

The third day was the main event which features Cosplay acts and celebrities like sisters

Alodia and Ashley Goshiengfiao. Which drew a lot of attention from the mall goers. Alodia

also displayed some of her costumes that she wore and in which some won different awards.

It's my type of event since I do love blogging, technology and especially Cosplay.

Aside from cosplay and blogs, there was also a seminar for photography and making money

using the internet by Jomar Hillario. These gave beginners and ideas that they can use in

taking pictures and going online in the future.

I also passed the booths around the venue. One of them was for Microsoft which features

their windows 7 phones like HTC, and they also exhibited computers that uses the new

Internet Explorer 9. And the juicy part is after you try them you can get a prize on their

pachinko. I got a I love windows 7 pin! Something to add to my pin collection!

Azrael Coladila also gave a talk about blogging 101. He shared his experiences, how he

started and gave a lot of tips about blogging. Bloggers were also present to cover the

event. There is also a blogging contest after the talk and the winner can take home an
HTC phone! Ayeeeee!

What a fun day to celebrate earth hour!

Microsoft Bloggers' Night with Cool Programs!

This year 2010 we always want to know what's new with programs that we use in our computers. And we are a hard audience to please. We expect to see more new features and convenience when using them. And after Microsoft launched Windows 7, may were pleased with the improvements. And as the new decade enters, a new kind of experience was launched by Microsoft which is Office 2010.
Recently Microsoft launched a Bloggers' Night at their office in Makati. It was a party starting with food and some bottles of beer. But the main event is actually the launch of the Office 2010 beta and other imaging and sharing programs. Starting with Office 2010, of course you may be already familiar with the interface of Office 2007 but for this one it got more interactive, multifunctional and can be shared and edited online! Imagine also doing photo and video cropping inside Powerpoint. And if you may need to edit some of the files, you can do them online especially if the computer you are using does not have Office tools in it.
One cool program is a photo tool that stitches photos to create a panoramic view just like the picture above. Plus with a podcasting and sharing function of Office tools, sharing and presenting files can be made more easier and creative. The night was not really filled with presentations and discussions, because it is still Bloggers' night and what we felt was more of a bonding session with fellow bloggers especially me as I meet with online friends and expecting to have another  one in the future. And I also feel excited to try at home Office 2010 which actually works on my computer running on XP! Office 2010 is still in beta so you can still download and try it!
