LISTENING ROOM: Linkin Park - Living Things REVIEW

Yes I won't let the day pass to get my chance to have a review of my favorite band ever, LINKIN PARK. And I am provoked by the fact I saw boots by Sebago with the Linkin Park logo! Now I'm again injected with the LP fever and have to vent out frustrations  So my therapy for this would be a review of my most favorite Linkin Park Album so far, LIVING THINGS.

They may have got noticed with songs used in the Transformers movies, and now its over, their songs are now being used in movies like Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter and many more. They also have a Dell Laptop with special LP software! Now lets get back to the album!

Lost in The Echo - a dynamic and very "Linkin Park" sound with Mike Shinoda and Chester on Vocals which fans (like me) would  relate.

In My Remains - I noticed that they used something like high pitched church-sounding melody which contrasts with the fast rock tune, I love to have this as my funeral song.

Burn It Down - the carrier single which caught my atention as it goes well with the technical mixes and imaginative lyrics which the band is known for.

Lies Greed Misery - I could say is the Last Song Syndrome song for the album as it has a great combination of catchy lines and with some of the melody in a loop which will stick to your head, especially Chester screaming! weeee!

I'll Be Gone - This fast paced song, is something I would like to hear while doing runs, its not too fast nor too slow just to keep a good rythm which would probably give me a second wind.

Castle of Glass- When you hear this, you would feel your in a steam train going to a far deserted land. I like to travel with this song,

Victimized - this is the most hardcore song of the album which contains a lot of screaming and hard rock tunes, it also provokes one to scream out loud

Roads Untravelled - somehow I remembered "My December" with this one, probably the slowest Linkin Park song in the album but still keeps you in a story-like journey with cryptic words but makes you feel that your are part of the song

Skin To Bone -This is probably the least noticed song, but not because its bad but rather it may be a simple LP mood music in the middle of intense songs. A good killer theme song actually.

Until It Breaks- it has many layers of tunes and textures which does not follow the regular song pattern yet it is very rhythmic, fast-slow transitions are very effective to play

Tinfoil - is something like a complimentary song to powerless but gives you that feel to set the mood.

Powerless - this song is part of the Abraham Licoln Vampire Hunter soundtrack and gives that edgy sound to a action thriller movie, its moving song

Rating: 8/10

They kept their style of sound with new techiques which differentiates the songs and gives a great diversity. With most of them growing with musicality, maturity, yet like wine gets better and better with age.
