MEGA Goes Digital on their 21st Anniversary

MEGA magazine, the Philippine’s best fashion magazine, celebrated 21st anniversary with a digital-themed bash at Opus Restaurant.  Lights, lasers, holograms, and LED displays set the futuristic tone of the celebration. A digital photo wall welcomed the guests, and they made their way to the main event via an LED carpet. A specially-created Twitter and Instagram wall allowed the guests to see, in real-time, tweets and photos with the hashtag #MegaGoneDigital. iPad “trend tablets” were available for the guests to tweet, post photos, and browse the Megastyle.ph site.

MEGA February cover girl, showbiz royalty, and Avon Anew’s Ruffa Gutierrez and the Philippine’s Bad Boy and MEGAMan second issue cover Robin Padilla graced the event with an interactive interview segment. They answered the 3 best questions tweeted during the event. Comic book icons and the newest MAC ambassadors Betty Cooper and Veronica Lodge, aka Archie’s Girls, had a special video aired during the event. In keeping with the digital theme of the night, the future of fashion and MEGA was presented with a number that fused electronics, graphics, and dance. “For the first time, we are celebrating our anniversary not by looking back but by looking forward,” says Meryll Yan, Group Multi-Platform Publisher of One Mega Group.

Phosphor watches, Super PH Sunglasses, Orly Nail Polish, and Lazada GCs were raffled off to lucky guests. The event was also made special by Subaru, Sophie Paris, Orly, David’s Salon, LS Pascual Optical, Soleil, Xenical, Skinfinity, and Avon.
