REEL DEAL: Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice REVIEW

This movie has been so delayed many times that the fans almost gave up, but finally it was given a final date for it to be shown in cinemas. Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice is said to kick off the DC Cinematic Universe on a yearly roll of its characters especially the Justice League. This would be considered as "Man of Steel Part 2" as the next timeline for the new superman Henry Cavil and also a whole new "Batman Begins" with Ben Affleck taking the role of Batman.

The teasers also reveal that the movie features the appearance of Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), which made the fans happy. There was also a pre-movie special called "Dawn of the Justice League" aired on CW, the station who produced DC TV series "The Flash" and "Arrow", which revealed the movie line up as well as the introduction of other Justice League members.

Based on the trailer, it showed a lot of action in both sides of Batman and Superman as many now are fearful of Superman's powers and what he can to to humanity. Batman comes in as the vigilante crime buster of Gotham but found himself linked to the Man of Steel after the Metropolis incident.  Amy Adams is back as Lois Lane which also made a lot of screen time as much as the introduction of Lex Luthor played by Jesse Eisenberg.

Personally the geek in me was happy with the movie, a lot of Easter eggs (so timely for holy week), yet it has the dark appeal that made the humorous jokes unappealing sometimes. It has defined their difference from the Marvel Films with the treatment and appeal. Though there maybe parts of the movie that breaks the moment, we must understand how complicated the DC universe is in the comics. For now, it at least got me excited for the next DC films!

Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, and  Gal Gadot. Showing in cinemas March 26, 2016 nationwide.

Deliberation time kids!

Show summary in 3 lines: Justice is here!

Technical Effects: 4.0 out of 5 stars (Too much CGI spoil some of the fun, though it did great with details)

Plot: 3 out of 5 stars (I did felt that they had a dilemma with how the story will go, I hope they will learn from this from now on)

Acting and Actors:  5 out of 5 stars (Ben Affleck redefined a new Batman image, I demand his own Batman movie!)

Pros:  Justice League introduction, Easter Eggs, Batman-Superman tension, WONDER WOMAN!

Cons: plot, CGI, villains

Music and Soundtracks:  4 out for 5 stars (I listened again to the soundtrack, I see that it was good, but some are too powerful for some scenes.)

Overall: Rating 4.1 out of 5 stars (A fair new kick-off of the DC universe, we love the characters and hope things will indeed get better)
