Blah Blah Blogs: My 2016 Vote Goes To...

As election is near, I would like to voice out my personal choices for the upcoming elections. And it was a very toxic campaign season for all of us. From all of the news, debates, sorties, and interviews of the candidates, the choice was not an easy task for me, as well as others who was affected by the propaganda, jingles, and all things related to the elections.

But finally after giving much thought and discernment, I finally came up with my final decision for both president and vice president. At first I had three choices for president, Santiago, Duterte, and Poe. With the debates I have watched, I was able to justify their importance as a leader. All of them have good traits that I am looking for, but there is also issues that also needs to be addressed.

I have chosen to vote Grace Poe for President.

There are a lot of reason which led me to this decision, first is the number of national policies that I agree with her platforms. Her detailed plans for the nation are indeed not just for show but proof that she does not generalize things for the sake of favor. Since 6 years requires a lot of work, her image is also good for the country, not linked to corruption, innovative in office, and as a mother and woman empowers the sector that will also be good for the nation.

For the Vice-President, I had two choices, Gringo Honasan and Leni Robredo. Both Bicolanos but of different backgrounds. Gringo was a rebel turned senator, Leni was a lawyer turned congresswoman. Known to be fighters of principles, both showed courage with their respective fields, as well as being parents.

I chose Gringo Honasan as my Vice-President.

Though he is not a popular choice now, he has shown that he has proven himself in the Senate. As he has served a lot of years, and the Vice-Presidency should be perfect for him. He compliments Grace Poe as the "father" that will the soldier for the country. His expertise in the military would be best fit to be the defense secretary for future administration.

And there you have it, and again it was not easy but I am positive that if ever they are given the chance for the position, they would live up to their promises and be the leaders as I expect them to be.

I call their tandem HoPoE!
