The Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) invites Filipinos nationwide to celebrate Philippine Space Week from 08 to 14 August 2026 through a nationwide lineup of activities that promote awareness, appreciation, and benefits of space for Filipinos.
Established through Proclamation No. 302, s. 2023, Philippine Space Week commemorates the enactment of the Philippine Space Act on 08 August 2019. The annual celebration, held every August 8 to 14, promotes public awareness of space science, technology, and applications (SSTA), highlights the contributions of Filipinos to the space sector, and demonstrates how space-enabled innovations contribute to national development and improve the lives of Filipinos. These are evident in the fields of disaster resilience, environmental protection, agriculture, national security, and sustainable development.
This year's celebration carries the theme "Navigating Tomorrow," reflecting the Philippines' growing presence in space through the satellite development and the use of space data and services. This embodies our journey toward a more informed, resilient, and future-ready nation.
PhilSA will hold the Philippine Space Week Exhibit on 09 August 2026, 10:00AM-9:00PM at the Quantum Skyview, Gateway Mall 2, Araneta City, Quezon City. Visitors can explore interactive exhibits showcasing Philippine space capabilities while enjoying a series of stage activities and public programs throughout the day.
Beyond the exhibit, PhilSA will host a series of forums, trainings, launches, and partnership activities throughout the week.
In partnership with the European Union, the Strengthening Interagency Collaboration for Use Case Applications: Lessons from CopPhil Toward PhilSA's Co-Development Framework will also be held during Philippine Space Week, highlighting the ongoing National Copernicus Capacity Support Action Programme in the Philippines (CopPhil) project and promoting the use of Earth observation data.
