Disney Becomes #1 Hollywood Studio in Southeast Asia as Avatar: Fire and Ash Ignites the Philippine Box Office with US $2.4M Opening

The Walt Disney Company has officially become Southeast Asia’s number one Hollywood studio of 2025, wrapping up a blazing box office run this year  with The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Lilo & Stitch and Captain America: Brave New World leading the charge as the studio’s top-performing releases in the Philippines. This weekend, fans in the Philippines felt the heat of Avatar: Fire and Ash on the big screen, as the film grossed US $2.4M at the box office.

Legendary filmmaker James Cameron transports audiences back to the breathtaking world of Pandora as ‘Avatar’ returns to Philippine cinemas with an all new fiery chapter. 

‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ is now showing in cinemas nationwide, taking Filipinos on another immersive experience as they follow the Sully family’s journey of grief, acceptance, and redemption.  

An Avatar-inspired installation made in partnership with Filipino contemporary artist, Leeroy New makes its way to the MOA Sky until January 4, 2026
