They both join a business trip but got into a disastrous plane crash and brought them to an uninhabited island.

20th Century Studios brings a new chapter to the thrilling, action-packed Predator franchise with the release of “Predator: Badlands” in cinemas starting November 5, 2025. 

20th Century Studios' Epic Sci-Fi Action Thriller "The Creator" To Debut December 20 On Disney+

20th Century Studios’ “The Creator,” the epic sci-fi action thriller directed by Gareth Edwards  which was released in theaters, will debut Wednesday, December 20, on Disney+.

The film, which stars John David Washington, Gemma Chan, Ken Watanabe, Sturgill Simpson, newcomer Madeleine Yuna Voyles, and Allison Janney, is set amidst a future war between the human race and the forces of artificial intelligence. Joshua (Washington), a hardened ex-special forces agent grieving the disappearance of his wife (Chan), is recruited to hunt down and kill the Creator, the elusive architect of advanced AI who has developed a mysterious weapon with the power to end the war…and mankind itself. Joshua and his team of elite operatives journey across enemy lines, into the dark heart of AI-occupied territory, only to discover the world-ending weapon he’s been instructed to destroy is an AI in the form of a young child (Voyles). 

The film is directed by Gareth Edwards, with a screenplay by Gareth Edwards and Chris Weitz from a story by Gareth Edwards. The producers are Gareth Edwards, p.g.a., Kiri Hart, Jim Spencer, p.g.a., and Arnon Milchan. Experience a different kind of future and witness the bitter clash between man and artificial intelligence in 2023’s best sci-fi film, 20th Century Studios’ “The Creator,” now showing in cinemas and IMAX starting today.

To celebrate the film’s premiere in the Philippines, a special screening event was held at SM Megamall last September 30. Avid moviegoers and sci-fi fans were greeted with an immersive themed set-up that took them straight to the distant AI-led future of “The Creator.”

“The Creator” is set in the distant future where humans and artificial intelligence are engaged in a bitter war. On the brink of victory, the humans discovered the Creator, the mysterious AI architect behind a weapon that can change the fate of the conflict. To prevent this weapon from being used, the humans recruit ex-special forces agent Joshua (John David Washington) to track it down. After discovering the weapon is in the form of a young child (Madeleine Yuna Voyles), Joshua begins to question the mission and the war itself.
