When basketball is life, it remains even as time passes by. As a tradition of sports movies, Uncle Drew brings a new age movie about legends that would never retire. Starring real NBA players like Kyrie Irving, Shaquille O'Neal, Chris Webber, Reggie Miller, Nate Robinson and Lisa Leslie, the film was brought to the screen with Pepsi Productions.Uncle Drew, a known legend of Streetball in New York gets into the ambition of Team Manager Dax to win the Rucker Classic Cup with the large championship prize. They brings together old, yet incredible team which haven't played on court in decades but still got their talent embedded into their system.
The journey of bringing together the team was the real challenge in the film as most of them completely retired from the game and have their own individual lives away from the sport. Uncle Drew tries his best to convince them to join the team, and they obliged. Though the general plot is predictable, there are some moments that it works with the comedy which is what the movie aims to be.
