In time for Araw ng Kagitingan, the Kasambahay, Kasambuhay Awards 2026 returned to honor these unsung heroes, the tunay na idol sa buhay.

When we speak of modern-day heroes, what often comes to mind are the OFWs and medical frontliners. However, ordinary Filipinos who demonstrate resilience in the face of life’s challenges can also be considered heroes. Among them are our kasambahays. More than helpers, they are pillars of strength. They “hold the fort” so we can pursue our own goals, and they dedicate their time, effort, and heart to families while being away from their own. As idols in real life who offer unwavering service and sacrifice, they also rightfully deserve to be recognized.

The KK Awards marked a decade of celebrating kasambahays whose everyday efforts strengthen the foundation of Filipino families.

Now in its 10th year, the Kasambahay, Kasambuhay Awards (KK Awards) honored the dedication of Filipino household workers who help keep homes and families strong. A joint initiative of the Palawan Group of Companies and JCI Senate Philippines, the program reflects a shared commitment to uplifting everyday Filipinos and recognizing the vital role kasambahays play in building stronger communities. This year’s ceremony brought together kasambahays, their employers, and their families in a heartfelt celebration of service and commitment.
