By Request: Dessa, Troy Laureta, DK Tijam together on stage at the Music Museum

Three Filipino talents – Dessa, Troy Laureta and DK Tijam – will share the stage for the first time in a one-night concert, “By Request: Your Playlist Live Onstage,” August 16, 8PM at the Music Museum.

The concert will be mounted by DK Talents and Orange Magazine in cooperation with Backstage Entertainment.

This is not the first time for Dessa to perform with DK. Aside from doing online shows with him in Kumu, she was able to invite him to Las Vegas (Nevada) when she had a show in one of the Filipino bars there. She again performed with DK in her recent show in Los Angeles (California).

“I have met DK Tijam during the pandemic days,” admits Dessa. “We were both streaming online and we became very close in Kumu. Now we’re best of friends.”

With Troy, Dessa has done shows with him also in LA and his recent successful big show, “Harana,” with Martin Nievera. Pia Toscano, Loren Allred, Morissette Amon, Jay R, Wendy Moten and Josefina in Las Vegas.

Slated for its third run this coming February and March at the Music Museum, Spotlight Artist Centre’s “Dirty Old Musical” (D.O.M.) features world-class stage performers headed by Robert Seña, Bo Cerrudo, Nonie Buencamino, Carlo Orosa and Jett Pangan, with a powerhouse supporting ensemble comprised of Kitkat, Tricia Amper-Jimenez, Ima Castro, Neo Rivera, Katherine Tiuseco, Anthony Castillo, Matel Patayon and Carlon Matobato.

Marlo Mortel Gets ImMORTELized For His First Solo Concert

Marlo Mortel may have gone through a rough year recently, he is now ready to move on with the recent passing of his mother Merlie Pamintuan. But beyond grief, he shifted his energy to pursue his dreams as a performer and now getting ready for an upcoming concert happening this month.

To be held at the Music Museum, the cocert is called ImMORTELized which is also his first solo concert, will happening on October 26. He also had a recent concert along with their boyband Harana, with fellow members Bryan Santos, Jopeph Marco, and Michael Pangilinan.  

It was a sold-out concert which he also wishes to happen now he makes one of his own. Despite the sadness of recent events in his family, he is also dedicating all of his performances to her late mother. He is currently bust with his work in "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano," and "Umagang Kay Ganda" which really kept him occupied at work.

Rockford Productions Presents “Far From Perfect: Truefaith’s Senti 25, The Silver Anniversary Show”

This year marks the country’s top pop band, Truefaith’s 25th year in the business. 

To celebrate this milestone, an anniversary show is scheduled on October 25 at the Music Museum aptly titled “Far From Perfect: Truefaith’s Senti 25, The Silver Anniversary Show.” The concert promises to be an engaging night of Truefaith’s exquisite brand of OPM plus some surprises including very special guests (which will be announced soon.)

Truefaith has won several accolades including MTV Philippines’ Video of the Year 2001 for the music video of the song, “Awit Para Sa Kanya” and a bunch of Awit Awards. In fact they are nominated again in this year’s upcoming Awit awards in the category of Best Group for the song, “Cool Lang” from the just-released 10th album, “Sentimental.” “Sentimental” is a collection of new material that are as good as their past hits, “Perfect,” “Huwag Na Lang Kaya?” “Muntik Nang Maabot Ang Langit,” “Kung OK Lang Sa ‘Yo” and “Dahil Ikaw.” Their latest single, “Kahit Na” will have its music video (shot entirely in beautiful Sorsogon) released online soon. It has been a long way since the early days of the band’s original members working at Fullerton Studios in 1992. Now, Medwin Marfil (vocals), Allan Elgar (lead guitar), Macky Macaventa (bass), Eugene Marfil (acoustic guitar), Jake Lumacad (keyboards) and Kaka Quisumbing (drums) are determined more than ever to pursue their musical dreams with a lot of hard work and faith!
