PRSP celebrates 67 years of service as the country’s premier organization for PR professionals

The Public Relations in the Philippines (PRSP) today announced that it is celebrating more than six decades of service to Filipino public relations professionals, supporting young practitioners and helping further hone their talents.

With a celebrated history that dates as far back as 1957, post-World War II, the organization has been dedicated to recognizing the importance of PR in business and empowering the people that drive it in motion.

Composed of practitioners from various industries including business, government, non-profit organizations, medical, education, tourism and other professional services, PRSP aims to “advance the welfare of the Filipino people through dignified, effective and relevant practice of the art and science of public relations.”

This mission of PRSP is fulfilled by continuously cultivating PR as an avenue that builds public confidence in an individual or organization, encouraging the study and improvement of PR among the aspiring and seasoned practitioners, correcting and preventing abuses in PR that tend to undermine public trust and serving as a center of information of latest data to its members.

PRSP Concludes First-Ever Virtual and Nationwide Students’ PR Con with Grand Prix Hack Sprint Edition

The Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) has finally concluded the Grand Prix Hack Sprint Edition, the second leg of this year's Students’ PR Con, the first virtual, interactive, and nationwide edition of the organization’s Students’ PR Congress.

Being the first Hack Sprint edition of PRSP’s annual student event and competition, this year’s Grand Prix was fully virtual wherein to qualify, students from all over the country were invited to submit a position paper about “The Great Resignation”, a current social issue being tackled across the world, provided by the initiative’s Platinum Sponsor JobStreet.

Eight (8) universities successfully advanced as qualifiers for the second phase, the Hack Sprint, where the students were given 24 hours to develop their communications plan. These are De La Salle University - Dasmariñas, Far Eastern University, Holy Angel University in Angeles, Pampanga, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, San Beda University, Saint Louis University in Baguio, University of the Philippines - Los Baños, and University of the Philippines - Manila.

Eight Universities Advance as Qualifiers in PRSP Grand Prix Hack Sprint Edition

The Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) is thrilled to announce that eight (8) universities are moving forward to the second phase of the Grand Prix Hack Sprint Edition, the second leg of the recent Students’ PR Congress.

These are De La Salle University - Dasmariñas, Far Eastern University, Holy Angel University, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, San Beda University, Saint Louis University, University of the Philippines - Los Baños and University of the Philippines - Manila.

These universities successfully advanced after participating in the first phase of the initiative wherein students (1 team per school comprised of 3 members) from all over the country were invited to submit a position paper about “The Great Resignation”, a topic provided by JobStreet Philippines, the Platinum Sponsor of the 2021 PRSP Students’ PR Con and Grand Prix.

In the second phase – the Hack Sprint, the students will be given 24 hours to develop their communications plan. Students will be briefed on February 3 and must start developing their plan, presented in a maximum of 10 slides, for submission on February 4.  A distinguished jury will evaluate and score the entries and identify 5 outstanding teams advancing to the third and final phase.

PRSP Invites Students and their Schools to Join the First-Ever Hack Sprint Edition of Students’ Grand Prix

After successfully concluding its Students’ PR Con last November, the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) is now set for its second leg of this year’s Students’ PR Congress with the Students’ Grand Prix Hack Sprint Edition.

Being the first hack sprint edition of PRSP’s annual student event and competition, the upcoming Students’ Grand Prix will be fully virtual and students from all over the country can participate. 

The event will be divided into three phases. Phase 1, the Nationwide Selection, invites students (1 team per school comprised of 3 members) to submit a position paper about “The Great Resignation”, a topic provided by Jobstreet Philippines, the Platinum Sponsor for Students’ Grand Prix. The Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) is announcing more exciting fun details for the PRSP Students’ PR Con 2021 and its much-awaited virtual after-party.

A virtual, interactive, and nationwide edition of the Students’ PR Congress, the PRSP Students’ PR Con is an opportunity for students all over the country to learn more about the public relations industry from leading practitioners in the field. 

Aside from a series of informative talks and discussions, PRSP Students’ PR Con participants will be treated to an exclusive virtual concert after-party. The organization has partnered with Warner Music Philippines and PhilPop Musicfest Foundation to bring together a line-up of up-and-coming artists for a one-of-a-kind musical experience, which includes Jikamarie, Keiko Necesario, Lara Maiguel, Paul Pablo and Reon. 

PRSP Extends Registration for Students’ PR Con; Unveils More Speakers and Musical After-Party Line-up

The Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) is giving more students of public relations, communication, marketing and advertising a chance to be part of the first-ever PRSP Students’ PR Con 2021 with the extension of its registration until November 16, 2021.

A virtual, interactive, and nationwide edition of the Students’ PR Congress, the PRSP Students’ PR Con is an opportunity for students all over the country to learn more about the public relations industry from leading practitioners in the field. 

This year’s theme is “Decoding Content: The Journey to PR for Good”, wherein participants will be navigated to the new media landscape and go through the content journey’s three different stages, which are: (1) Capture and Consume, which addresses how we contextualize content we encounter in everyday life; (2) Curate and Converse, which will discuss how to properly curate content from reliable sources and create fruitful conversations responsibly; and (3) Create and Care, which collates learnings from the first two segments by talking about why creating our own PR for Good can push forward ideas into meaningful advocacies and causes.
