Richard Madden, Benedict Cumberbatch Lend Support to "1917"

Four of today’s most popular British actors are playing important supporting roles in Universal Pictures’ critically acclaimed and $100-million grossing war epic 1917.  They are Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Richard Madden (Game of Thrones), Mark Strong (Shazam!) and Andrew Scott (Spectre).

Nominated for ten Oscar Awards including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay, 1917 tells the story of two young British soldiers Schofield (George MacKay) and Blake (Dean-Charles Chapman) as they are given a seemingly impossible task. In a race against time, they must cross enemy territory to deliver a message that could potentially save 1,600 of their fellow soldiers—Blake’s own brother among them. In this immersive cinematic experience, director Sam Mendes thrusts the audience into the immediate peril and vast scale of World War I, witnessing the conflict in an urgent and propulsive way.

Rocketman - Elton John's Musical Extravaganza

Elton John has contributed a lot of great songs in the music industry and can be considered an icon. Thus having a film based on his life means it can be a musical with his songs as an integral part it making it come true. Thus the Rocketman takes off with Taron Egerton playing the flamboyant and passionate singer and performer.

It is no secret that Elton John has a very colorful life starting from his childhood which started his passion for music. His origins as a musician grew and led him into the world of music, rock and roll, sex, drugs, and even love. It can also be recalled that in Taron's movie Kingsman, Elton John made a cameo which speculated  his role in the upcoming musical.

Though Elton may not be as popular as today, his hits have touched millions of lives and some are anthems of many which spans many decades. The film was well executed with the song and dance gives a spell to the viewers  and makes us want to sing and dance along.There are also times of sadness paired with the heartfelt melody of his ballads. Taron also sang Elton's hits and comparably was very similiar to Elton's.

"Rocketman" Rated R-13 Without Cuts, To Be Shown Unsanitized

Filipino audiences have the rare privilege of getting inside the real-life story of music legend Elton John in its full, controversial splendor as Paramount Pictures’ Rocketman has been rated R-13 without cuts by the Movie and Television Review & Classification Board (MTRCB).

The Board has deemed Rocketman suitable only to viewers thirteen (13) years old and above as the film contains depiction of drugs, sexual activity, violence, suffering and foul language.

He became a household name with his role as Robb Stark in Game Of Thrones and last year’s worldwide smash, Bodyguard, BBC's most-watched drama of the past 10 years.  Now, Scottish actor Richard Madden stars as John Reid in Paramount Pictures’ critically acclaimed Elton John biopic Rocketman.

In real-life, Reid was John’s first long-term boyfriend, as well as being his manager for 28, often turbulent, years. “We cast Richard just before Bodyguard came out,” says producer David Furnish. “But when I saw him in that (before release), it was a powerful, riveting performance. He had that smoldering Scottish sexiness about him that just seemed so perfect for the way John Reid is portrayed in this film.”

A live-action feature inspired by the classic fairy tale, “Cinderella” brings to life the timeless images from Disney’s 1950 animated masterpiece as fully-realized characters in a visually-dazzling spectacle for a whole new generation.

The story of “Cinderella” follows the fortunes of young Ella whose merchant father remarries following the death of her mother. Eager to support her loving father, Ella welcomes her new stepmother and her daughters Anastasia (Holliday Grainger) and Drisella (Sophie McShera) into the family home. But, when Ella’s father unexpectedly passes away, she finds herself at the mercy of a jealous and cruel new family. Finally relegated to nothing more than a servant girl covered in ashes, and spitefully renamed Cinderella, Ella could easily begin to lose hope. Yet, despite the cruelty inflicted upon her, Ella is determined to honor her mother’s dying words and to “have courage and be kind.” She will not give in to despair nor despise those who mistreat her.
