REEL DEAL: “THE JUDGE” Unveils Main Trailer

Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures have just unveiled the main trailer of their upcoming inspiring drama “The Judge” which may be viewed at http://youtu.be/HYplDXNG_8s.

Directed by David Dobkin (“Wedding Crashers”), “The Judge” stars Robert Downey, Jr. as big city lawyer Hank Palmer, who returns to his childhood home where his estranged father, the town’s judge (Robert Duvall), is suspected of murder. He sets out to discover the truth and along the way reconnects with the family he walked away from years before.

MUSIC LYF: Don Moen Back For Concert This October 17

Don Moen, the singer-songwriter-producer who gained worldwide recognition for his hit praise-and-worship songs that interpret closely the words of the Bible, is scheduled to return to Manila for an evening of contemporary Christian music on Friday, Oct. 17, at the new CCF Center, Frontera Verde Ortigas Ave., Pasig City (beside Tiendesitas).

The popular American singer will take center stage during the one-night musical presentation from Ovation Productions almost one year after his last local tour that took him to the cities of Davao, Dumaguete, General Santos and Dipolog in Mindanao and which followed his 2012 concert series that covered Metro Manila, Tagbilaran City and Butuan City.

“Let’s Be Cops” is the ultimate buddy cop movie except for one thing: they're not cops.  When two struggling pals dress as police officers for a costume party, they become neighborhood sensations.  But when these newly minted “heroes” get tangled in a real life web of mobsters and dirty detectives, they must put their fake badges on the line.

Faking it real time, these fake cops have just found some real trouble.  Starring Damon Wayans Jr. and Jake Johnson,     The idea for the movie was born when director/co-writer Luke Greenfield decided to spend Halloween in a police officer’s uniform – a choice that had unexpected consequences.

“My costume designer at the time got me a real LAPD uniform and my buddy and I walked around Los Angeles,” Greenfield remembers. “The sense of power and authority was incredible. I was single at the time, and it became quite easy to talk to women on the street.”

With co-writer and executive producer Nicholas Thomas, Greenfield developed the pitch that was to become LET’S BE COPS. “We came up with the idea quite quickly,” says Thomas. “We pitched the project to 20th Century Fox, and it sold.”
