REEL DEAL: Captain America Civil War

Another clash movie of the year is the awaited movie of the Marvel Cinematic Universe of 2016, Captain America: Civil War puts all heroes into the big screen not fighting bad guys but each other. As ironic it may sound, it does seems inevitable that they would not always be on the same boat.

Known to be one of the biggest clashes in the Marvel universe, Civil War is really literal. There was sides chosen upon the presentation of an accord that leaves them with a choice of following the directive of many nations or free to act upon the need to help. But we all know it is a complicated world with all the politics, policies, and amplified with the possible threats that their abilities can inflict to humanity.

This defines the line of "Captain America" which like the US is always politically connected with the current threats of society like terrorism and espionage. As some would see it as another Avengers movie with the introduction of Spider-Man, Ant Man, and Black Panter, it never forgets that it is Cap's movie.

With many conspiracies, secrets, needs to be established, there would be a longer time of dialogues and word wars more than the actual fight scenes. Many would find it boring, but I think they are really needed to further understand what is going on.

REEL DEAL: Avengers Age Of Ultron REVIEW

It has been 3 years since the incident in New York changed the world and also brought forth Earth's mightiest heroes, the Avengers. And with the story continues for the elite team with the birth of a very wicked and devious villain which came from the mind of one of the avengers, Ultron.

With the introduction of the Maximoff "twins" Wanda and Pietro, and also the highly anticipated appearance of Vision brings more thrills to this movie. We also see that it will still involve the infinity gems which when gathered could mean the end of many in the universe. But first things first that the avengers will have to face is the global threat of human extinction with Ultron's diabolical plan.

For geeks and fans, there are a lot of easter eggs scattered in the movie including the role Stan Lee whill be portraying as he has been doing in all of Marvel films. You might also want to research on the infinity stones as well as the films that show the other stones that will give you the idea of how bad it will be in the next films in the Marvel universe.

REEL DEAL: Downet Feels “AGE OF ULTRON” Marks End of Era, Start of New

Fan-favorite Robert Downey Jr. reprises his seminal portrayal of Tony Stark/Iron Man for the fifth time in Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” In Marvel’s “The Avengers” Tony Stark struggled to become a team player and in “Iron Man 3” audiences saw him transcend his dependency on the tech that was keeping him alive. So where does he go now?

To Downey Jr., the answer is simple: “There’s all this unfinished business. There’s the matter of a certain wormhole that opened over New York and the imminent threat that still implies, so Tony has turned his attentions more toward a bit of a post-Reagan-era, Star-Wars-type notion and he likes to call it Ultron.”

REEL DEAL: Captain America Comands The "AVENGERS" In Epic Sequel

No stranger to the role of Steve Rogers/Captain America after developing the character over three films, Chris Evans admits that there is still more to learn about the quintessential American hero in Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron.”

“Steve Rogers is still trying to figure out where he belongs,” says Evans. “He’s always been a soldier and he’s fit in that format. He enjoys structure and he enjoys having orders and a plan, and without that he does feel a bit aimless, but he is still searching for whether or not he can have a life outside of being Captain America. He’s been of service for so long that trying to figure out what he would do without his uniform and shield is a bit of a puzzle.”

REEL DEAL: Thor, Hulk - God and Monster Return In “AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON”

Two of your favorite superheroes, Thor and The Hulk, are once again portrayed by acclaimed actors Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo, respectively, in Marvel's highly anticipated action-adventure “Avengers: Age of Ultron.”

Remaining where he was last seen at the end of “Thor: The Dark World” is the God of Thunder himself. Chris Hemsworth explains how his character has gotten more comfortable and accepting of his earthly surroundings.

REEL DEAL: Ultron Hell Bent On Human Extinction In "AVENGERS" Sequel

In Marvel's “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” the Super Hero dream team must reassemble in order to stop the terrifying technological villain Ultron who's hell-bent on human extinction.

The decision to give Ultron his day in the sun as the villain of the film was always Joss Whedon’s first choice despite the end sequence in Marvel’s “The Avengers,” which featured the character of Thanos. The writer/director explains, “For me Thanos was always meant to be in the 3rd Avengers movie because he really is a god,” explains Whedon. “He is like a supreme being of evil and for me it was the cosmic cube because I’m really old; for some people it was the infinity gauntlet, but the great crossovers were usually Thanos-based and he made everybody’s lives miserable. And so the idea that he was the prime mover behind all of this just seemed natural.”

REEL DEAL: Johansson, Renner, Back as Black Widow, Hawkeye In "AVENGERS" Sequel

Acclaimed actors Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner reprise their beloved, kick-ass roles as Black Widow and Hawkeye, respectively, in Marvel's new action-adventure “Avengers: Age of Ultron.”

When Johansson dons Black Widow’s gear for the new film, she has one clear goal in mind: keeping true to her character. She says, “The most important aspect of my job as an actor, who’s been carrying this character from ‘Iron Man’ to ‘The Avengers’ and ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier,’ is to keep consistency with the character’s arc and have the character’s evolution be one that is cohesive. You want to feel like the character is growing as opposed to just staying the same.”

Although Johansson worked with different directors over the course of inhabiting the Natasha Romanoff character, it was her first meeting with director/writer Joss Whedon that allowed her to explore her character’s past. “In my first meeting with Joss, I had the chance to talk about Natasha’s backstory and her sordid past,” recalls Johansson, “and I wanted to make sure that she stayed sort of gray, not really black or white. What’s exciting and compelling about the character is that she’s not Cap; she’s not righteous. She was in S.H.I.E.L.D. because it’s where she belonged, not necessarily that it was the right place to be. Now we find The Avengers in business as usual mode but it’s changing. So it’s my job to make sure that Natasha, through that change, stays true to the Natasha that I started with in ‘The Avengers.’”

REEL DEAL: Robert Downey Jr. Defends Estraged Dad In “THE JUDGE”

High-priced, workaholic lawyer Hank Palmer is unquestionably the man every high-class criminal wants by his side in the courtroom. Checking his scruples at the door, he is a master manipulator of the law, and his services are available to the highest bidder; the innocent, he coolly professes, can’t afford him.

Robert Downey Jr. plays Hank Palmer in Warner Bros. Pictures' moving drama “The Judge.” Directed by David Dobkin (“Wedding Crashers”), the film revolves around a big-city lawyer who returns to his childhood home where his estranged father, the town’s judge, is suspected of murder. He sets out to discover the truth and along the way reconnects with the family he walked away from years before.

Dobkin remembers asking Downey early on, “‘Does your character know he’s in crisis, or does he just feel he’s in crisis?’ His answer was, ‘He knows it, but he doesn’t feel it.’ Hank is aware, on an intellectual level, that he’s unable to have an emotional truth. He’s stuck at a dead end in his life even though he’s at the top of what he set out to achieve.”

“Hank is comfortable where he’s comfortable: at home in Chicago with his marriage that’s falling apart and this billion-dollar case that he knows how to cheat and win,” Downey says. “All of the things that make him comfortable are the things that make most people uncomfortable.”

Hank rarely lets his guard down, carefully navigating the prickly relationships he has surrounded himself with, keeping those close to him at arm’s length and allowing in only a few—his mother and his daughter. He has created a strong protective wall around his emotional self, choosing instead to deflect even the slightest opportunity for self-reflection with sarcastic humor and intellectual superiority. Maintaining distance from the source of his earliest wounds keeps any cracks in the wall from spreading…until he is forced to go home again by the loss of his first and greatest source of comfort, his mom.

“One of the nice things about playing Hank is that I get to explore that part of me—of everybody—that just wants to jump out of their seat and run,” Downey shares. “The minute he gets back to his hometown, he’s just looking for a trapdoor to fall through and wind up anywhere else but where he is.

“He’s a pretty shut-down guy,” the actor continues. “He is in his life mentally and physically, but not emotionally; he’s in complete flight from the ramifications of the way he’s behaved emotionally. He is also very accustomed to winning, and a lot of his identity is tied up in that, in his profession, but that doesn’t matter to anyone else. And of course the fact that his father is a judge and Hank’s a big time defense attorney says a lot about him.”

Dobkin admired Downey’s freedom in the role. “It’s a very complex tightrope to walk, to start a movie with a character as broken as Hank is, and to be honest about it,” he says. “Robert is completely unafraid of any kind of scene, or to be disliked the way Hank is early on, because he can play him with enough charm for people to stay with him, to go through the journey he’s on. He’s a beautiful meeting of both comedy and drama, and he has incredible control over the tone of his work. He showed up every day hungry and curious and wanting to make something great.”

“This was an opportunity for me to return to the classic acting of my roots, to see if I could still hit that place of deep emotional resonance like you do in the theater,” Downey says. “Hank is under tremendous pressure, and he just keeps being handed more and more weight and becomes less and less confident, which is not a place he’s used to being, not a feeling he likes at all. When he is certain he’s right, no one will listen; when he’s not so sure, everyone is looking to him for answers. Every day he has to jump through some sort of flaming hoop. I’d never really played a part that had so much to do with salvation and redemption, and that was one of the greatest challenges and joys of playing Hank.”

Opening across the Philippines on Oct. 22, 2014, “The Judge” is distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

REEL DEAL: Iron Man 2

Yeah, Batman is Rich but can he fly by his own? Or Spiderman, can he blash beams from his hands?  And Superman, yes he may be the strongest but can he get the chicks and crack a good joke?

This is what I love about Iron man 2, without altering his genetics, or being born from an alien planet , he is the hero of great interest. The first Iron Man was really explosive, as in a lot of explosions. Now since there are now two (War Machine) its twice or probably trice as explosive with this one. Fire power was the name of the game, there are the missiles, laser beams, bullets, machine guns, and bombs. More Metal, crushing steel and cables...also not forget electricity which would probably take an entire power output from a plant.
