Morissette Joins a1’s Ben Adams on new Christmas Anthem

Nothing heralds iconic holiday tune more than having two established stars collaborate on one festive anthem.

Ben Adams, the lead singer of chart-topping boyband a1 and now a prominent producer based in the UK, teams up with Filipina singer Morissette on “This Is Christmas,” a potentially timeless bop that will surely have a warm place in our hearts this Yuletide season.

Released under Sony Music, the song was originally written for a Dutch artist, but the BRIT awardee and multi-platinum star changed his mind and took the material as part of his own. “I loved it so much I couldn't give it away,” states the British singer-songwriter and producer. “So I decided to take it back. Once I recorded the whole thing I was like, it sounds magical but I'm sure I can squeeze some more magic out of it - so I began searching for the best person to collaborate on it with me.”

Rebecca Ferguson Seduces as the Sinister Villain in "Doctor Sleep"

Swedish actress Rebecca Ferguson (“Mission: Impossible - Fallout”) portrays what director Mike Flanagan claims as “one of the best Stephen King antagonists in many, many years, Rose the Hat” in the horror/suspense film, “Stephen King’s Doctor Sleep” (now in Philippine cinemas).

The film continues the story of Danny Torrance, 40 years after his terrifying stay at the Overlook Hotel in Kubrick’s “The Shining.”

Rose the Hat leads the quasi-immortal cult known as the True Knot, who have powered their elongated lives by victimizing children with the shine—“steam” as it emerges from their bodies—which is devoured by Rose and her followers. The former humans continue to move through existence, unnoticed, imitating humans, predators mimicking prey. However, the modern world—with its diversions, complications and shortcuts to adulthood—has dulled children’s shine, leaving the True Knot with fewer substantial sources of sustenance. For the first time in eons, they are hungry and their future is in question.

The rise of the digital eco-warriors

When sixteen-year-old climate activist Greta Thunberg gave her impassioned speech at this year’s UN Climate Action Summit in New York, she was met with a mix of varying responses when she called out the world’s biggest leaders and berated them for leaving the burden of climate change on the shoulders of future generations.

However, one defining outcome was made clear—today’s young generation acknowledges the urgency to take matters into their own hands to save the Earth. Just like Greta, millennial youth from all over the world desire to do their share in protecting the environment but may be at a loss on how to do so.
