One-of-a-kind venue experience at Globe ICONIC entertainment zone

Wireless audio streaming through Globe Soundplay app and Interactive LED Omega Claw game

The ICONIC store, Globe Telecom’s premiere lifestyle destination, is revolutionizing the Philippine retail and entertainment industry. With the 1st phase of the entertainment facility completed last June, the venue was able to hold successful large scale events such as Green Day’s: American Idiot play, NBA Fit and HOOQ Hangouts.

Aside from being the ideal entertainment venue for events, the two massive Times Square-like LED walls provide live video feed and on-ground entertainment. Informative and engaging videos such as short clips by Globe Studios and lifestyle ambient visuals are showed daily. Every 7:30 P.M., people are also treated to a lights and sounds show.

From 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the ICONIC store transforms into a carnival wonderland with the Omega Claw game which uses augmented reality and face detection technology to capture the faces of anyone near the venue through live feed cameras.  The pictures are then posted in the country’s largest interactive outdoor LED billboard with the tagline “You’ve been clawed.” People are encouraged to pose for the camera as they are seen by spectators around.  This fun, unique and interactive technology will be refreshed regularly to give BGC Central Amphitheatre visitors something to look forward to.

"Moana" Masters the Seas in Newly Launched Payoff Poster‏

Disney has just released the payoff poster for the new, seafaring animated adventure “Moana” starring Dwayne Johnson and Auli'i Cravalho. The film sails into Philippine cinemas Nov. 30.

Three thousand years ago, the greatest sailors in the world voyaged across the vast South Pacific, discovering the many islands of Oceania. But then, for a millennium, their voyages stopped – and no one today knows why.

From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes “Moana,” a sweeping, CG-animated adventure about a spirited teenager who sails out on a daring mission to prove herself a master wayfinder and fulfill her ancestors’ unfinished quest. During her journey, Moana (voice of Auli’i Cravalho) meets the once-mighty demi-god Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson), and together, they traverse the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous fiery creatures and impossible odds. The film is directed by the renowned filmmaking team of Ron Clements and John Musker (“The Little Mermaid,”, “Aladdin,” “The Princess & the Frog”) and produced by Osnat Shurer (“Lifted,” “One Man Band”).

“Moana” is distributed in the Philippines by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures through Columbia Pictures. Like us on Facebook, WaltDisneyStudiosPH; follow us on Twitter, @disney_phil; follow us on Instagram, @disney.ph and use the hashtag #MoanaPH.

Cruise Goes Solo in US Posters of "Jack Reacher: Never Go Back"‏

While the international posters for Paramount Pictures' action-thriller “Jack Reacher: Never Go Back” show both stars Tom Cruise and Cobie Smulders, the U.S. (or domestic) one-sheets aggressively sell Tom Cruise by his lonesome.

Take a look at a couple of U.S. posters below and watch the film when it opens across the Philippines on Oct. 19th.

Tom Cruise returns as Jack Reacher with his particular brand of justice in the highly anticipated sequel. In the film, Major Susan Turner (Smulders) is the Army Major who heads Reacher’s old investigative unit. She is arrested for Treason and knowing that she is innocent, Reacher must break her out of prison and uncover the truth behind a major government conspiracy in order to clear their names and save their lives. On the run as fugitives from the law, Reacher uncovers a potential secret from his past that could change his life forever.

Robert Langdon's Greatest Challenge Unravels in "Inferno"‏

Following up on the worldwide successes of “The Da Vinci Code” (2006) and “Angels & Demons” (2009) is Columbia Pictures' “Inferno,” the third highly anticipated adaptation in Dan Brown’s Robert Langdon series of novels. “Inferno,” the latest addition in the $1.2 billion film franchise, was the best-selling adult book of 2013, proving that readers around the world can’t get enough of Robert Langdon.

Tom Hanks, who returns in one of his signature roles playing the quick-thinking and resourceful Langdon, explains the attraction. "There is something Dan Brown has figured out – everybody likes a good puzzle, especially one you can actually figure out the clues to one at a time and solve,” he says. “These movies give that to the audience – it is almost an interactive film, and it has been like that since The Da Vinci Code.”
