Blah Blah Blogs Ber Edition: Undas 2011

Another year passes and another undas has come again to remind us that we are not immortal, we die and turn into bones and dust.  This year was also sad with the passing of my grandmother (we call her Lola Haneng, her real name is Juana). And now the family lot just got new boarders. When I went there last Halloween, just because  to avoid the crowd, I saw in the gravestone that my grandfather is also buried there too. He died way back in 1974, so long before I was born but he is buried in Batangas, and we never had the chance to visit him during this season. It's really heartwarming despite the fact that they both already died yet they are together in eternity.

LAKBAYAN: BonPen Diaries

We had so much fun when we went on our 3 day stay in BonPen (Bondoc Peninsula), wherein we attened the BonPen Festival that aims to promote tourism and the environment. We were welcomed to the the towns of Unisan and Pitogo (were the festival is held).  The BonPen Festival started in 2009 in Catanauan and now the festival is hosted by the Town of Pitogo.

REEL DEAL Movies and Television: Puss in Boots Review

Being one of the most loved characters in the Shrek series, Puss earned his status and worthy enough to have his own movie. Puss in Boots may be a spin off of the original Shrek series however had made it clear that it can provide a great plot on its own.

Telling to origin of the legendary bounty hunter/mercenary, Puss in Boots goes trough many ordeals. Now in quest of the Magic Beans under the possesion of the ruthless Jack and Jill, Puss teams up with his old friend Humpy Dumpy and Kitty Softpaws to get them and use them to got to the castle in the sky where the legendary golden goose can be found.

Though with just a handful of fairy tale characters unlike Shrek, the movie itself has his charisma of giving us the elements of surprize and fun without overdoing it. Also look out for another cat character that makes an epic moment.

Chicken Deli of Bacolod is Now in Manila!

 The Chicken Inasal’s (flame grilled chicken) special status in the hearts, mouths, and bellies of the Filipino people is something that Bacolod’s Chicken Deli recognizes and takes very seriously. Chicken Deli, which stands for “Chicken delicious,” was born in 1983 in the sunny city of Bacolod, which is itself the home of Inasal. The idea came about when Chicken Deli’s founder, Mamang, felt the need and the desire to feed people with the dish they so loved: Inasal.

They have proven themselves worthy  to be the new generation of Pinoy Rock, and erased my disbelief that they are just another band  but can innovate and do great in the Pinoy Music scene. .The only recording band to reach diamond after Eraserheards for the outstanding sales of Tambay (EP) via Coca-Cola’s summer promo, SPONGE COLA scores yet again as the band releases its highly anticipated fourth full-length album titled Araw Oras Tagpuan under Universal Records. But the band is not content to rest on its laurels yet, this is just the beginning.

BonPen Festival was a blast here in Quezon with the other bloggers, I have posted some of the pictures and videos on my facebook profile, yet I have to make more post about the things that we have done during the past 2 days here in Unisan and Pitogo. We also had some sidetrips if schedule permits Now the festival has come to a close and were now resting before we go back to Manila (we did miss a lot of events). But it was really fun!
