"HAPDI NG LAPNOS" A Jay Taruc 15th Anniversary Special of iWitness

A couple of years ago, I-Witness showed the world the heartwrenching documentary about patients admitted to the burn unit of Davao City Medical Center, the only hospital catering to burn victims in all of Mindanao.

As part of I-Witness’ 15th anniversary, Jay Taruc and his team go back to the place where pain and tears are synonymous with healing.

Quite a lot has happened in two years. The burn unit has been renamed “Rizal D. Aportadera, Jr. Burn Center” to honor the name of the doctor whose efforts and sacrifice were instrumental in saving the lives of burn patients.

REEL DEAL: Biggest Biblical Epic “EXODUS: GODS AND KINGS” Begins December 5 In The Philippines

Academy Award winner Christian Bale, widely known for his unforgettable portrayal as Batman aka Bruce Wayne in “Batman Begins,” “The Dark Knight” and “The Dark Knight Rises” once again puts on his heroic garb in the staggering biblical epic ever  to be produced in Ridley Scott’s “Exodus: Gods and Kings.”

Filmed in 3D, Scott’s film will tell the extraordinary story of Moses. Abandoned by a desperate mother as a baby after the Egyptian rulers order the murder of all boys born to slaves, he is found in the bulrushes by the Pharaoh’s daughter and raised in the royal household, where he grows up alongside Ramses (Joel Edgerton), the future monarch.   As a man, Moses has a vision from God and turns his back on his privileged life and leads his people, the Israelites, from enslavement. Scott’s film will feature ground-breaking special effects, to visualise some of the more fantastic elements of the story including the plagues visited upon Egypt and the parting of the Red Sea.

Maja's "BELIEVE" First OPM Record To Be Mastered For iTunes

Maja Salvador will be leaving a huge footprint on the music scene with her debut album “Believe”. And it is not loosely said so. As apart from the album being certified Gold last June (only 2 months after the official release) and obtaining an official Vevo channel on YouTube with views summing up to almost 6 million, the album takes the cake off the plate of its contemporaries once again by becoming the first OPM album to be mastered for iTunes.

A “mastered for iTunes” song is a digitally downloadable track on iTunes, taking legs of optimization to make every bit of it in the highest definition possible and as close to how artists and their production team intend every song to be heard as possible, while keeping the music file size down for portability and for more efficient digital distribution.
