REEL DEAL: Suicide Squad REVIEW

With The DC Cinematic Universe opened to more films in the future, another anticipated comic film of the year is actually made up of villains, SUICIDE SQUAD is indeed not the most reliable team but according to Amanda Waller they can get the job done.

Known in DC comics as a unlikely alliance of meta-humans and twisted bad guys which links to many characters of DC including the "Justice League", many geeks was excited for making it possible. And one of the most discussed is the inclusion of Jared Leto as the new Joker.

The movie was hyped up with the casting including Will Smith, Margot Robbie and Viola Davis to name a few. But there also comes the problem similar to Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice, setting expectations high with its teasers showing the characters in their elements. The pressure of meeting and exceeding geek expectations and movie analysts also was set too high.

There is no problem with the casting and their acting, there are a number of factors that felt inadequate and imbalanced. Harley Quinn and the Joker shone the brightest in the film with the craziness that we want. There the other characters suffered to be working characters for the squad, and the back stories was too theatrical and did not help in understanding their stand and situation.
