HEATHY LYF: Healthyway Medical Celebrate 16 years with "Dance for Health" Finals

After months of competition, the Healthway Medical  "Dance for Health"  Competition is now on its culminating activity in Glorietta with 4 corporate and 3 college competitors. Each having their own style and technique that will prove their worth in the dance floor and at the same time dancing their way to a healthier life.

The four corporate finalist were: Aegis Global - Black Panthers, Intelicare - Inteli Movers, Manila Water - Maynilad Dance Company, and the Landbank -LDP All Stars. For the college division, we have STI Balagtas - Balaraw Dance Troupe, St. John Don Bosco - FMD Extreme, EARIST Red Fox Company. We'll reveal the winners after the jump!


Movement mean a lot of things. It can be interpreted as motion, activity or progress. In this case, movement is about looking back and pushing forward as the country's trusted and most preferred network of mall-based clinics celebrates its 16th anniversary the right way with "Dance for Health, A Healthy way t Live" dance battle.


Considered both a sport and an art form, dancing is the ultimate expression of human emotion by using one's body to communicate with movement and style. Dancing is euphoric and contagious and what better way to deliver Healthway Medical's mission of promoting "Prevention rather than Cure" than with a competition that celebrates and all its glory.

"Dance for Health is the culminating activity of our  company's 16th anniversary celebration. Healthway Medical believes that a healthy lifestyle is important in preventing various diseases," says Healthway Medical Vice Predient of Sales and Marketig Carmie De Leon. "Dancing is definitely fun and healthy way to make sure that we stay at the peak of our health. We thank all our partners and participants for their contribution fo this worthwhile cause." The Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City is ground zero fo the "Dance for Health" Grand Finals as top dance crews who moved on from the preliminary rounds last September 26, 2013 at the SMX Convention Center in Mall of Asia and last October 26, 2013 at the Alabang Town Center square off for an epic dance showdown.

Open to dance crews with style and all the right moves, Healthway Mecial's "Dance for Health" competition is divided into two categories. Groups with members aged 17 to 21 can join the university division while those 22 to 35 can join the corporations divion. The winner of this dance-off will get to take home wellness packages on top of major cash prizes courtesy of Healthway Medical.

The "Dance for Health" event serves as Healthway Medical's platform to deliver their advocacy of supportig righteous causes. The company pays back to the community through its beneficiaries KYTHE Foundation and CENTEX.

KTHYE Foundation is a non-profit, non-stock organization which aims to inspire children diagnosed with cancer and other chronic illnesses. For over 20 years now, the organization has been helping child-patients improve their quality of the their lives through its KYTHE Child Life Program. Aside from providing emotional support, KYTHE Child Life Specialists also provide financial aid to child-patients for treatment and health maintainance.

The Center for Excelence in Public Elementary Education (CENTEX) is a public schol that houses bright children from economically disadvantaged families providing them with quality education and necessary support for a shot at a better life. Established in 1998 through a Memorandim of Agreement between the Department of Eductaion and Ayala Foundation Inc., CENTEX is now operating two public schools in Tondo Manila and Bauan, Batangas. With 16 years in the medical profession, Healthway Medical continues to provide exclusive healthcare to patients from all walks of life. Above all else. The company stands by its goal of encouraging everyone to adapt a healthy holistic lifestyle.

Now for the winners of the two divisions. For the corporate category, Third place goes to Landbank -LDP All Stars, Second place goes to Aegis Global - Black Panthers, and the champion is Manila Water - Maynilad Dance Company. For the college category, Third place goes to STI Balagtas - Balaraw Dance Troupe, second place is St. John Don Bosco - FMD Extreme, and the champion is the EARIST Red Fox Dance Company. 

At the end of the day, everyone is a winner both in health and passion of dancing that does not stop after the competition, they may also look forward for next year's competition and beyond.
